We pride ourselves on our high-quality workmanship, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction. We're looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing team. You'll be installing, servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on fire alarm systems across commercial and domestic sites, working both independently and alongside our wider engineering team. Experience with electronic security systems - intruder alarms, access control and CCTV - would be a real advantage, as many of our clients rely on us across both disciplines. What you'll be doing Installing conventional and addressable fire alarm systems to a high standard Carrying out planned servicing, testing and preventative maintenance in line with BS 5839 Fault-finding, diagnostics, repairs and reactive call-outs Commissioning systems and producing certification and compliance documentation Completing job sheets and service records accurately Representing the company professionally on client sites - many of our jobs are in occupied premises, so a courteous, tidy approach matters to us Liaising with the office team on job progress, parts and scheduling Participating in the out-of-hours call-out rota (this may be a requirement in future). What we're looking for Essential: Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems Good working knowledge of BS 5839 and current fire safety regulations Experience with conventional and addressable panels (e.g. Advanced, Kentec, C-TEC, Morley, Gent or similar) Full UK driving licence Strong attention to detail and a professional attitude on site Desirable: NVQ Level 3 in Electronic Security and Emergency Systems or equivalent Experience in installation, maintenance and repair of intruder alarm systems, with a specifically Paxton Systems & Galaxy Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including BS 4737 and BS EN 50131 FIA qualifications or manufacturer training/accreditations Experience working on commercial contracts Package Competitive salary Paid travel after 30 minutes from your home address to your first job, and after 30 minutes from your last job back to your home address Company van & fuel card Additional annual leave Wellbeing portal with EAP & Digital GP access Ongoing training & career development opportunities …plus pension, retail discounts, paid volunteering, a referral programme and a genuinely supportive team.
