Finishing Project Engineer

Guildhall is running a search for a large main contractor with a long-standing delivery record on landmark high-rise and fit-out projects across the region. This Finishing Project Engineer role owns the interior fit-out of a tall tower end to end — floor-by-floor sequencing, subcontractor coordination, and snagging through to client handover. The client has multiple senior technical roles open at once, a sign of sustained workload rather than a single project push. It's a seat for someone who has personally taken a high-rise tower from mock-up approval to handover, not just supervised others doing it.

The role

• Supervise finishing works across all floors: flooring, painting, ceilings, joinery, cladding, facade
• Coordinate subcontractors, blockwork teams and direct labour across floor cycles
• Resolve site clashes tied to structural settling and vertical alignment tolerances
• Plan vertical logistics for materials and labour using cranes and hoists
• Sequence finishing works floor-by-floor alongside structural and MEP progress
• Coordinate architectural and MEP drawings to avoid clashes in shafts and ceiling voids
• Run punch-list and snagging management floor-by-floor before handover
• Enforce HSE protocols for high-rise hazards: edge protection, working at height, facade works

What you'll bring

• 8 to 12 years in construction, with proven high-rise experience, G+30 floors or above
• Handed over high-end finishes for luxury towers, 5-star hotels or premium commercial buildings
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering
• Advanced AutoCAD or BIM (Revit) proficiency
• Dubai Municipality approved engineer status, Unlimited or G+12/G+Unlimited
• UAE Society of Engineers membership preferred
• Experience with facade and glazing-to-interior interfaces an advantage
