The role involves transaction reconciliation, investigation of discrepancies, monitoring the end-to-end payment lifecycle, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve operational issues. The successful candidate will also contribute to improving operational processes, maintaining standard operating procedures, and supporting scalable financial operations across global markets. Key Responsibilities - Transaction Reconciliation: Perform daily transaction and settlement reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and unmatched transactions, track failed payments, and ensure transactions are processed and settled within established timelines. - Transaction Monitoring: Monitor the end-to-end client transaction lifecycle and proactively identify exceptions, failed transactions, and settlement issues through operational reports, dashboards, and internal systems. - Issue Resolution: Investigate operational discrepancies, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution and minimize transaction delays. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Customer Service, Product, and other global Operations teams to resolve transaction-related issues and improve the client experience. - Client and Merchant Support: Assist in addressing operational enquiries and resolving issues encountered by institutional clients and merchants in their day-to-day business operations. - Process Documentation: Maintain the team's knowledge base, update standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure operational documentation remains accurate and up to date. - Process Improvement and Automation: Identify process inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions to improve operational workflows, reduce manual tasks, and enhance automation. - Operational Excellence: Support the continuous improvement of transaction processing, settlement accuracy, and service delivery across global markets. Requirements - Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline. - At least 2–3 years of experience in financial operations, payment operations, transaction reconciliation , cash reconciliation , banking, foreign exchange, or financial services. - Hands-on experience in transaction or settlement reconciliation, investigating discrepancies, and resolving failed or unmatched transactions is strongly preferred. - Experience in fintech, payment services, banking, or other financial services environments is an advantage. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. - Ability to quickly understand new products, systems, and operational workflows while remaining results-oriented and effective under pressure. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused mindset. - Good written and reading proficiency in both English and Chinese, with the ability to work in a bilingual business environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. - Knowledge of SQL, VBA, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Google Data Studio is an advantage. Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with hands-on experience in cash or transaction reconciliation, payment processing, settlement operations, or payment exception management are highly preferred. Experience in fintech, banking, foreign exchange, or financial services would be beneficial.
