About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga As a Group Accountant in Group Financial Control, you'll work alongside the Head of Group Financial Control to bring together Fonterra's Annual and Half Year Group Financial Statements, the numbers that thousands of New Zealand farming families, investors and markets rely on. Its high stakes work with real visibility, where your external reporting and IFRS expertise directly shapes how Fonterra reports to the world. A few areas of focus will be to: Coordinate and deliver the half-year and year-end financial statements for the Fonterra Co-operative Group and the Fonterra Shareholders' Fund, working across multiple teams and outsource providers Manage the audit opinion, management representation letter and subsequent events process, keeping audit, legal, governance and the hub aligned Prepare the foundations of key AFRC, board and NZX documents, and support the group materiality assessment Help embed best-in-class financial reporting practices and continuous improvement across Fonterra's finance community About You | Mōu You're a sharp, IFRS-strong financial accountant who thrives when the deadlines are real and the quality bar is high. You bring calm coordination to complex, multi-stakeholder processes and a genuine curiosity for getting the detail right. The ideal candidate will have: A recognised tertiary qualification and CA membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or an equivalent recognised body Minimum of five years' experience in financial accounting and external reporting or audit, including consolidation accounting Confidence coordinating work at pace across large, high-performing teams in a deadline- and quality-driven environment Strong communication skills and solid Word and Excel capability Experience in dairy, FMCG or manufacturing is a bonus, not a barrier.
