This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no line-management responsibilities. We welcome candidates with relevant practical experience, as well as those who can demonstrate strong capability in business analysis, data processing, AI-assisted workflows or process automation. The role initially focuses on accurate financial operations and reporting. Depending on individual performance and business requirements, there will be opportunities to develop into commercial finance, management analysis or Finance Business Partnering. Key Responsibilities * Review information relating to funding allocations, payroll and expense payments before processing, ensuring that supporting data is complete and accurate. * Maintain accurate income and expenditure records, payment account information and internal cash ledgers. * Reconcile transaction records, internal ledgers and data supplied by project teams. * Identify discrepancies, investigate their underlying causes and follow exceptions through to resolution. * Coordinate monthly reconciliations with internal data teams, project teams and other relevant stakeholders. * Confirm transaction amounts, ownership, classifications and reporting methodologies across different data sources. * Compile opening balances, monthly inflows and outflows, closing balances and other relevant financial data. * Contribute to cash-position reporting, cash-flow reporting and monthly management reports. * Use spreadsheets, AI tools, data-analysis techniques or programming tools to improve reconciliation, reporting and data-processing workflows. * Check and validate the accuracy of automated or AI-assisted outputs before they are used in operational or financial reporting. * Document effective processes and turn them into reusable templates, procedures or internal tools. * Share practical methods with colleagues and support continuous process improvement. * Gradually contribute to the analysis of project revenue, costs and profitability. Essential Requirements * Practical experience in finance operations, payment or settlement reconciliation, financial data processing, management reporting or a closely related area. * Ability to independently complete detailed operational work and provide clear examples of previous responsibilities and outcomes. * A sound understanding of basic financial, cash-flow and accounting principles. * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes and follow issues through to resolution. * Strong practical skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including data cleansing, reconciliation and report preparation. * Ability to use AI tools responsibly in practical work, with appropriate checking and validation of outputs. * Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, as the role involves regular communication and reconciliation work with Mandarin-speaking teams and stakeholders. * Ability to explain financial data, operational issues and proposed solutions clearly. * Strong integrity and a responsible approach to confidentiality, data access and financial controls. * Willingness to follow established approval, review and segregation-of-duties procedures. * Ability to participate regularly in in-person collaboration at the company’s UK office. Desirable Experience You do not need to meet every criterion below. Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: * Finance operations, settlement or cost structures within internet, gaming, advertising, payment services or cross-border businesses. * Practical use of AI tools to solve a business or financial operations problem, including evidence of how the results were checked. * Experience using SQL, Python, Apps Script, Power Query, business-intelligence software or similar automation tools. * Experience improving reconciliation, reporting or data-processing workflows. * Commercial finance, financial planning and analysis, management accounting or Finance Business Partnering experience. * Experience analysing project-level revenue, costs, margins or profitability. Working Arrangements This is a hybrid UK-based position. The successful candidate must be able to attend regular in-person collaboration sessions at the company’s UK office and work during agreed team collaboration hours. Salary The gross annual salary is £40,000–£50,000. The final offer will be determined by relevant experience, demonstrated skills and the candidate’s ability to perform the role.
