Finance Manager (Retail & F&B)
Role Overview We are seeking an operational and strategic Finance Manager to lead our finance function end-to-end. Sitting directly above our Accounts Manager and Accountant, this role carries both high-level financial planning accountability (acting as strategic CFO for ownership) and hands-on oversight of day-to-day retail, F&B, and consignment accounting. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Governance: Act as primary strategic advisor to ownership on enterprise risk, capital allocation, valuations, joint ventures, and banking facilities. Serve as direct point of contact for external auditors, banks, and commercial landlords. Team Oversight: Lead, mentor, and approve output for the Accounts Manager and Accountant. Own workload allocation, capability building, and escalation paths across the finance stack. Commercial & Costing Strategy: Own product/menu costing, ingredient/packaging cost structures, and menu pricing strategies across all F&B/retail brands. Conduct market benchmarking to maximize margins. New Ventures & Project Evaluation: Conduct financial risk/return modeling, breakeven analyses, and go/no-go assessments for new activations, retail launches, pop-ups, and commercial partnerships. Financial Operations & Systems: Oversee monthly ERP close (Odoo), daily POS reconciliations, partner/consignment reporting, AR/AP, and payroll/WPS/EOS compliance. Optimise chart of accounts and ERP automations. Reporting & Cash Flow: Present monthly management accounts, narrative variance analyses, and cash flow projections directly to business owners. Requirements & Qualifications 7–10+ years in progressive finance roles, with at least 3+ years managing teams in F&B, Retail, Hospitality, or FMCG. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. Professional qualification ( CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA ) highly preferred. Strong hands-on experience with Odoo ERP and advanced Excel financial modeling. POS integration experience preferred. Deep knowledge of Qatar Labor Law , WPS (Wage Protection System) , local bank operations, and commercial lease dynamics in Qatar. Cost-of-Goods-Sold (COGS) accounting, menu costing, cash flow management, bank facility renewals, and board/owner-level reporting. Work Location: In person
