Finance Manager

Location: Samarkand, Uzbekistan Employment Type: Full-time Project: International project with foreign management

About the Role An international project is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial and accounting operations, budget monitoring, financial reporting, and tax compliance. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records, effective internal controls, and compliance with Uzbekistan legislation and applicable donor requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Review invoices, payment requests, and supporting documents; record financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Manage payments, cash flow, bank reconciliations, advances, accounts receivable and payable, and fixed-asset records.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze variances, support budget preparation and forecasting, and prepare regular financial reports for management and donors.
• Ensure accurate calculation, reporting, and timely payment of applicable taxes and statutory deductions in compliance with Uzbekistan legislation.
• Maintain financial controls and documentation, support internal and external audits, and implement audit recommendations.
• Monitor grant expenditure and compliance with donor agreements, funding conditions, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain financial management systems and develop Excel-based financial models, budget monitoring tools, and reporting templates; improve reporting efficiency through automation.
• Provide financial guidance to project managers and other departments on budgeting, expenditure management, and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in finance and accounting, with a good understanding of Uzbekistan taxation.
• Proven experience using digital financial accounting systems and software.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and financial reporting tools.
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desirable.
• fluency in English.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
