Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of a manufacturing business in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within the aluminium, glass, metal fabrication, or building materials industry.

Key Responsibilities

Banking & Financial Facilities

• Manage relationships with UAE banks and financial institutions.
• Negotiate and manage banking facilities, including overdrafts, working capital facilities, term loans, letters of credit (LCs), and bank guarantees.
• Negotiate favourable interest rates, banking fees, credit limits, repayment terms, and financing conditions.
• Manage bank facility renewals, credit reviews, and financial documentation.
• Monitor facility utilisation and ensure compliance with banking covenants.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Prepare and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational expenses, supplier payments, payroll, loan repayments, and other financial obligations.
• Manage cheque issuance, post-dated cheques (PDCs), cheque deposits, collections, and payment schedules.
• Plan and prioritise supplier payments according to cash flow requirements.
• Monitor bank balances, cash positions, and upcoming financial commitments.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyse financial variances.
• Provide management with accurate financial reports and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to optimise costs, improve profitability, and strengthen financial performance.

Manufacturing Cost Control

• Monitor production costs, raw material consumption, labour costs, overheads, and inventory valuation.
• Analyse product costing, gross margins, production efficiency, and material wastage.
• Work with procurement, production, sales, and operations teams to improve cost efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and working capital tied up in raw materials and finished goods.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee accounting operations, monthly closing, financial statements, and management reporting.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer collections, and supplier credit terms.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE VAT, corporate tax, and financial reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
• Establish effective internal controls and financial procedures.

Team Leadership & Business Support

• Lead and supervise the finance and accounts team.
• Provide financial insights to senior management to support business decisions.
• Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
• Improve financial processes, reporting systems, and operational controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing is essential; experience in aluminium, glass, metal fabrication, or building materials is strongly preferred.
• Mandatory professional qualification or certification: CPA, CMA, ACCA, CA, or an equivalent recognised professional qualification in Finance or Accounting.
• Proven track record of negotiating and managing corporate banking facilities.
• Strong experience in cash flow forecasting, treasury management, cheque management, and working capital control.
• Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial planning, financial reporting, and cost control.
• Knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory management, and profitability analysis.
• Understanding of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and applicable financial regulations.
• Experience dealing directly with UAE banks is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
