Finance Manager
Pay range $150,000 to $300,000 annually (Closed Sundays, One Saturday a Month off) MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN AUTOMOTIVE AS A FINANCE/SALES MANAGER IS REQUIRED TO APPLY Job description ESSENTIAL DUTIES: · Be available for the finance and insurance turnover of every retail customer, both new and used. · Work closely with sales management to secure a good profit from each sale, both front and back gross. · Submit credit for financing and approval · Oversee the accurate completion of deal paperwork; check all paperwork on both finance and cash deals to ensure title, lien, taxes, and other related delivery documents are correct. · Log income, verify insurance with customer’s agents, obtain deposits, collect down payments, verify trade payoffs, etC. · Sell Extended Warranties and all other aftermarket items (i.e., gap insurance, tire and wheel protection, service contracts); provide customers with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies. · Load and print out all paperwork necessary to complete the transaction, complete the e-contract process when applicable · Package deals; separate all paperwork into 4 sections, accounting, motor vehicle, trade, and banking · Ensure the customers leave the dealership with a clean understanding of their transaction: answer questions as they arise and when necessary, get information from other departments to accurately answer customer inquiries · Train and provide the sales team with information on finance and lease programs and the benefits of the dealership’s financing and extended service programs. · Seek out and secure financial sources to purchase finance paper directed by the General Sales Manager. · Prepare and maintain the daily operating log; monitor control of the appointment log and daily delivery log, manage the F&I board · Be responsible for all rate questions; answer incoming calls from customers, banks, etc… · Maintain a record of finance and insurance fees due to the dealership and ensure its collection. · Work with service department to provide additional warranty information as necessary · Establish and maintain a good working relationship with several finance sources, factory and otherwise · Keep general manager and sales manager apprised of all special programs sponsored by any financial source · Train and develop salespeople to become better at the F&I presentation; train sales associates on vehicle knowledge through weekly “walk arounds.” · Maintain a thorough knowledge of the policies and procedures of the sales department · Understands and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle and finance departments. · Ensure dealership receives money from customers or funds from banks for deals · Make copies of forms and fax to appropriate parties · Handle any warranty cancellations; sit with customer and have them complete cancellation form, odometer statement and all supporting paperwork · Pull warranties from deals that were cancelled; remove all corresponding paperwork, complete the warranty cancellation request and fax, give copies to office manager for records · Assist with resolving issues on the discrepancy log; chase paper, follow up on miscellaneous outstanding items · Check Route One periodically for held deals; resolve outstanding issues to get the deals funded · Make sure contracts in transit are reduced to a minimum; investigate and resolve any issues to ensure funding from financial institutions MARGINAL DUTIES: · Seek new lending institutions and maintain good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs · Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index rating at least comparable to that of the manufacturer, zone or branch average. · Meet or exceed monthly sales goals as set by manager · Cooperate with all other dealership personnel necessary to guarantee quality service. · Complete ongoing training as specified by trainer/manager · Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customer to manager for resolution · Assist sales managers when necessary QUALIFICATIONS: · Degree or commensurate experience in finance. · Knowledge of dealership finance and insurance procedures. · Professional personal appearance. · Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. · Background in business, mathematics, marketing, and computers is helpful Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Pay: $150,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee discount Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
