Key responsibilities - Lead month-end and year-end closing and deliver accurate financial statements to management on schedule. - Prepare the annual budget, cash-flow forecasts and variance reports, and advise management on profitability by product line and account. - Oversee premium collections, the client premium (fiduciary) account and timely remittance to insurers. - Control commission income: verify computations, reconcile insurer statements and follow up unpaid commissions. - Ensure compliance with Insurance Commission requirements for brokers, including annual statements, and license renewal filings requirements. - Ensure accurate and timely BIR, SEC and local government filings, and manage tax planning and assessments. - Coach and evaluate the accounting team and plan succession for key tasks. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant preferred. - At least 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with 3 or more years leading a team. - Experience in insurance broking, insurance or other regulated financial services strongly preferred. - Working knowledge of PFRS, Philippine tax rules and Insurance Commission reporting. - Proficient in advanced Excel.
