Field Service Operations Manager — Fiberglass Repair (Hybrid, CA) Fiberglass Unlimited Inc. (FU Inc.) is a commercial and industrial fiberglass (FRP) repair and fabrication contractor serving Southern and Northern California, with work extending to other areas of the U.S. We're looking for a Field Service Operations Manager to run our day-to-day field operations. This is a hybrid role — primarily office-based, with regular field time to support technicians, meet with site clients, and keep jobs moving. You'll report directly to the President and work closely with field crews, office admin, customers, vendors, HR support, and compliance partners. What You'll Do Manage daily field operations for technicians across CA and other U.S. job sites Supervise field employees, hold them accountable, and support hiring/onboarding of new crew Coordinate scheduling and act as the liaison between customers, field crews, and management Review and maintain time sheets, job records, and cost documentation for accuracy Oversee field safety documentation and compliance (JSAs, confined space, site paperwork) Track training, background checks, drug testing, and OSCA/customer compliance requirements Handle HR administration tasks tied to field staffing Support materials, vehicle, and general operational needs for field crews What You Bring (Required) Experience in field service, construction, industrial maintenance, or related operations Experience supervising employees or crews Strong scheduling, coordination, and organizational skills — you can manage multiple jobs and people at once Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional customer communication Comfortable reviewing paperwork and records for accuracy Computer literacy — email, online systems, basic spreadsheets Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed Nice to Have Fiberglass repair, tank repair, FRP, piping, or related industrial field experience Experience with QuickBooks Time / T-Sheets Familiarity with OSCA, ASAP, customer compliance systems, or drug testing programs Experience with HR platforms such as Bambee Experience with commercial/industrial customers or multi-location crew coordination Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred — you'll be coordinating with field technicians, customers, vendors, and site personnel regularly Ideal Candidate Someone equally comfortable running compliance paperwork from a desk and walking a job site in boots — organized enough to keep records airtight, practical enough to understand what's actually happening in the field.
