Field Operations Manager
Field Operations Manager Help build the future of heating—and help build EcoSpark along the way. EcoSpark Heat Pumps is a growing heat pump installation and electrical company focused on installing high-quality Mitsubishi systems and providing exceptional customer service. We’re a small, owner-operated business, and we’re looking for an experienced HVAC, electrical, or construction leader to take ownership of our day-to-day field operations. You’ll oversee our installation crews, keep projects moving, solve problems in the field, maintain our quality standards, and help develop the people and systems that allow EcoSpark to grow. This is a great opportunity for someone who has led a crew and is ready to take the next step—or an experienced project/field manager who wants more responsibility, autonomy, and a meaningful role in a growing company. If you’re a great technician, a natural leader, and someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, we’d like to meet you. What You’ll Do Lead our install crews. Oversee daily field operations, schedules, job progress, and productivity. Own quality. Inspect completed work and make sure installations meet EcoSpark standards, code, and manufacturer requirements. Solve problems. Provide technical support and troubleshoot challenging issues in the field. Develop people. Coach, mentor, and train installers while building a strong culture of craftsmanship, safety, and accountability. Keep customers happy. Step in when questions or problems arise and help turn challenging situations into great customer experiences. Keep projects on track. Monitor materials, labor, timelines, job costs, and punch-list items. Communicate. Keep the owners and crews informed about job status, challenges, and opportunities to improve. Improve the business. Help us build better processes and systems as we grow. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in HVAC, electrical, construction, or a related trade. Experience leading a crew, serving as a foreman, or managing projects. Strong technical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Organized, dependable, and able to work independently. Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership. A genuine commitment to safety, quality, and doing things right. Comfortable using phones, tablets, and new software. Able to lift 50 lbs., work on ladders, and occasionally work in attics, crawl spaces, and other challenging environments. HVAC or electrical licensing/certifications are a plus. Why EcoSpark? We’re building something different: a small company with high standards, a great team, and a mission to accelerate the transition from fossil-fuel heating to efficient electric heat pumps. As an early leader on our team, you’ll have a real voice in how the company operates and grows. There’s room to take on more responsibility as we grow—and potentially an opportunity to participate directly in that growth.
