Fashion Design, Production & Product Development Manager

One person to manage the complete process — from concept to finished product.

We are looking for a creative, organised, and hands-on professional who can independently manage fashion design, product development, production coordination, outsourced manufacturing, sourcing, costing, customer service, and creative projects.

The ideal candidate understands both the creative and commercial sides of a fashion business and can take full ownership of projects from the initial idea through to final production and delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Fashion Design & Collection Development

• Develop collection concepts, colour palettes, garment sketches, and embroidery designs.
• Select fabrics, trims, accessories, and other materials.
• Coordinate pattern making, sampling, fittings, and final garment development.
• Develop customised garments, accessories, gifting items, and other products according to client requirements.

1. Production & Outsourced Manufacturing Management

• Coordinate with external manufacturers, factories, workshops, and production suppliers locally and internationally.
• Request, evaluate, and negotiate quotations for samples, prototypes, and bulk production.
• Compare manufacturer pricing and ensure production stays within budget.
• Manage the complete sampling process, including specifications, feedback, revisions, approvals, and final sample sign-off.
• Communicate designs, measurements, technical specifications, materials, artwork, and production requirements clearly to manufacturers.
• Coordinate bulk production orders, quantities, timelines, delivery schedules, and production updates.
• Follow up with manufacturers to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Conduct or coordinate quality checks before approving finished products.
• Resolve production issues and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Coordinate shipping, deliveries, and receipt of completed orders.

1. Production Planning & Team Coordination

• Plan and schedule production for customer orders, samples, boutique collections, collaborations, and influencer or blogger requirements.
• Coordinate the production team and external suppliers.
• Track project progress, deadlines, approvals, and outstanding requirements.
• Ensure smooth coordination between design, sourcing, manufacturing, quality control, and delivery.

1. Sourcing, Costing & Pricing

• Source fabrics, materials, accessories, equipment, and manufacturers locally and internationally.
• Evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, reliability, and production capacity.
• Prepare sample and bulk-production costings.
• Plan product pricing and retail margins.
• Monitor budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

1. Customer Service & Customisation

• Manage customer enquiries and orders through WhatsApp and the website.
• Coordinate home-service appointments, consultations, fittings, and customised orders.
• Manage the customer journey from consultation and sketching to production and final delivery.

1. Collaborations & Special Projects

• Coordinate design, sourcing, manufacturing, and delivery for collaborations, gifting projects, and special commissions.
• Manage creative and production requirements for brand partnerships, events, and special projects.

1. Photoshoots & Content Coordination

• Plan and organise photoshoots, including behind-the-scenes content.
• Coordinate product photography, lookbooks, and campaign requirements.
• Prepare product images, measurement sheets, and product information for websites, social media, and WhatsApp.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in fashion design, product development, and production management.
• Strong experience working directly with outsourced manufacturers and suppliers.
• Good understanding of garment construction, fabrics, pattern making, sampling, technical specifications, and quality control.
• Experience negotiating quotations, managing production costs, and coordinating bulk manufacturing.
• Strong organisational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently, from concept to delivery.
• Proficiency in relevant fashion design and documentation software.
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant design, product development, and production experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Someone who can take an idea, develop the design, source the materials, find the right manufacturer, negotiate pricing, manage sampling and revisions, oversee bulk production, ensure quality, and deliver the finished product on time.

We are looking for an independent, hands-on professional who can manage the entire process with minimal supervision and take ownership of projects from start to finish.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
