Facilities Manager- Entry Level
Job Summary: Ormazabal UK Ltd is a dynamic and innovative engineering solutions provider, known for our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a highly motivated Facilities Manager (Entry-level) to join our team. Key Responsibilities: Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manage cleaning staff and oversee the cleanliness and presentation of all facilities. Coordinate external contractors responsible for cleaning, grounds maintenance, window cleaning, servicing, and repairs. Conduct contractor inductions and ensure compliance with site requirements and health and safety standards. Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure facilities and equipment remain operational. Coordinate maintenance activities relating to building services, including electrical systems, plumbing, heating, lighting and security systems. Maintain operational tools and equipment calibration schedules. Conduct weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting checks and coordinate annual servicing requirements. Manage facility-related supplies and consumables. Monitor utility usage and report potential efficiency improvement opportunities. Liaise with the landlord regarding building-related matters. Compliance & Health and Safety Coordinate and maintain records for statutory inspections and certifications, including: LOLER Gas safety requirements Fire systems and inspections FLT operational requirements Maintain accurate compliance records and coordinate remedial actions where required. Support QHSE initiatives and report facility-related risks or concerns. Fleet, Security & Communications Coordinate company vehicles and associated equipment, including: MOT schedules Maintenance and repairs Breakdown cover Vehicle hire arrangements Administer site security arrangements, keys, access control systems, and visitor processes. Oversee company mobile phone, office phone, and related communications contracts. Support the administration of company IT assets, including laptops and associated hardware. Production Support Identify, communicate, and assist in resolving workplace health and safety concerns. Supplier & Contractor Coordination Maintain day-to-day relationships with suppliers and contractors. Obtain quotations for facilities-related services and projects. Assist with tracking facilities-related expenditure. Annual Activities Organise utility contract reviews and renewals. Coordinate PAT testing activities. Coordinate fire and security alarm servicing. Coordinate annual compliance inspections and maintain certification records. Projects & Continuous Improvement Support facilities improvement projects, including: Office and workplace layout modifications Site security improvements General facilities enhancement projects Assist with facilities projects that support operational requirements and business growth. Skills & Experience Previous facilities or maintenance experience. Strong contractor and supplier management skills. Good understanding of facilities compliance and health and safety requirements. Experience managing building services and maintenance activities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Budget management and cost-control experience (Desirable) Health & Safety experience (Desirable) IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable) IWFM Level 4, or similar (Advantageous) Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous.
