The role involves developing, detailing and coordinating façade solutions for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, residential and other architectural projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in aluminium and façade systems , excellent technical detailing skills, and the ability to convert architectural concepts into practical, buildable and technically accurate façade solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Technical Development Develop detailed façade designs based on architectural concepts, project requirements and technical specifications. Prepare 2D drawings, elevations, sections, details and fabrication drawings for aluminium and façade systems. Develop façade layouts and details for curtain wall, windows, doors, aluminium cladding and architectural systems . Prepare accurate construction and shop drawings in accordance with project requirements. Develop design solutions considering aesthetics, functionality, performance, constructability and cost. Review architectural drawings and identify design, dimensional and coordination requirements. Ensure all drawings and design documentation are accurate and issued according to project requirements. 3D Modelling & Visualisation Create and develop 3D models and visualisations of façade systems and architectural elements. Use relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and SketchUp . Produce detailed visual presentations to communicate design concepts and technical solutions. Modify and develop existing designs based on project requirements and consultant/client feedback. Materials & Façade Systems Develop an understanding of and work with various aluminium, glazing, cladding and façade systems . Select and incorporate appropriate materials, finishes and system components based on project requirements. Ensure designs consider durability, performance, functionality, aesthetics and constructability . Review technical specifications and system requirements to ensure compliance with project standards. Coordination & Collaboration Coordinate with architects, façade consultants, structural engineers, project engineers, quantity surveyors and production teams . Review architectural and structural drawings to identify clashes and technical requirements. Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical design input. Coordinate designs with fabrication, production and site requirements. Respond to technical queries and assist project teams in resolving design-related issues. Site & Project Support Conduct site visits where required to verify dimensions, existing conditions and design requirements. Support project and site teams with technical clarification and design-related issues. Review site conditions and propose practical design modifications where required. Assist in resolving technical challenges while maintaining the approved design intent. Quality Control Check drawings for dimensions, levels, details, specifications, materials and design accuracy . Ensure drawings comply with approved designs, project specifications and applicable standards. Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision control and documentation. Ensure all drawings are issued accurately and within project deadlines. Review drawings before submission to consultants, clients or internal teams. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Industrial Design or a related field . 3–10 years of relevant experience in façade design, aluminium systems, building envelope design or architectural detailing. Strong experience in Aluminium & Façade Design is highly preferred. Experience with Curtain Wall, Aluminium Windows & Doors, Glazing, Cladding and related façade systems . Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Working knowledge of Revit, Rhino and/or SketchUp will be an advantage. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and technical drawings . Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and façade detailing. Knowledge of UAE construction practices and project requirements will be an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and coordination skills. The role requires a designer who understands not only how a façade should look , but also how it should be detailed, fabricated, coordinated and installed .
