Job Summary The Catering & Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the strategic development of new business within the banquet and catering market. This role requires a results-driven individual with a strong sales track record, capable of managing the full sales cycle from sourcing leads to executing events with the highest level of service standards. The successful candidate will be a key player in maximizing the potential of our event spaces and catering services. Key Responsibilities Focus on the generation of new sales and proactively source new business opportunities in the banquet and catering market. Identify market trends and opportunities to enhance sales on events and catering to achieve company goals. Event organiser / project lead ownership from brief to post-event review Arrange Event run-down, floor plan and contingency planning, budget, vendor and contract management Supporting qualifications around project management and end-to-end event delivery Maximize events and catering sales by strategically planning, implementing, and monitoring all sales activities. Negotiate terms and conditions pertinent to the sale of conference and banqueting services. Meet and exceed catering sales goals and targets set by the company. Entertain existing and prospective banquet event end-users to build and maintain strong relationships. Respond to all enquiries, work on proposals, and conduct professional site inspections for clients in a timely manner. Attend trade shows and wedding expos to promote the company’s catering and conference spaces as directed. Support various in-house customers’ events as required. Prepare detailed event documentation and coordinate with both external and internal parties to ensure the smooth execution of events with high service standards. Work closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded. Support the execution of events to ensure logistical success and client satisfaction. Conduct market research on competitors’ analysis and market trends. Utilize market intelligence to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge. Qualifications & Requirements Degree or Diploma holder in Hospitality Management or a relevant discipline. Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a hospitality group, with a focus on new business development in catering and events. Minimum 5 years’ experience in handling events and catering of all kinds, including conversions and logistics. Confident and result-driven with a proven sales track record. Strong analytical skills with good business sense. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a customer-oriented mindset. Strong communication and negotiation skills. A team player with leadership skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
