This is not an entry-level sales position. We are looking for someone with previous window treatment sales experience or a strong background in home improvement, home services, interior design, flooring, cabinetry, remodeling, or similar in-home consultative sales. The right person will be comfortable walking into a client's home, building trust, understanding their design and functional needs, accurately measuring, recommending products, presenting a quote, closing the sale, and managing the client relationship through installation. You'll have significant independence in this position, along with company-generated leads, administrative support, an installation team, manufacturer resources, and ongoing product training. Your Territory You'll take ownership of an established territory covering Kitsap County and portions of Jefferson, Mason, and surrounding areas , including: Silverdale, Bremerton, Poulsbo, Port Orchard, Bainbridge Island, Port Ludlow, Seabeck, Belfair, Grapeview, Gig Harbor, and surrounding communities. You may be asked to cover some leads in the Tacoma area. Reliable transportation and regular travel throughout the territory are required. What You'll Be Responsible For Conduct professional in-home sales and design consultations Promptly contact and schedule incoming company-generated leads Manage approximately 4–8 incoming leads per week , depending on seasonality Accurately measure windows and identify product or installation considerations Understand the client's design preferences, functional needs, budget, privacy, and light-control goals Recommend appropriate window treatments, fabrics, colors, features, and operating systems Learn and confidently navigate an extensive product catalog Prepare and present quotes and confidently ask for the sale Consistently follow up on open quotes and opportunities Generate your own leads through referrals, networking, relationships, and business development Manage client communication from consultation through installation and after-sale support Respond professionally to client questions, concerns, and complaints Communicate with clients by phone, text, and email based on their preferred communication style Maintain accurate information within our CRM and business systems Coordinate closely with our administrator and installation team Stay current on manufacturer products, updates, promotions, and lead times Participate in ongoing product and manufacturer training Transport sample books and product materials to client homes Who We're Looking For Window treatment sales experience is strongly preferred. We will also consider experienced candidates from related in-home sales industries such as remodeling, flooring, cabinetry, interior design, home improvement, or other home services. You should be: An experienced consultative salesperson who is comfortable closing business Comfortable measuring and working with detailed measurements Interested in interior design, color, and helping homeowners make selections Comfortable learning and retaining a large amount of product information Highly organized and capable of managing a territory independently Extremely responsive with phone calls, texts, emails, and client follow-up Comfortable using CRM and other business technology Professional in both appearance and communication Comfortable working independently inside clients' homes Able to balance new sales appointments with existing client communication and follow-up Accountable and willing to take ownership when a problem occurs Receptive to feedback and committed to improving Comfortable communicating when you need information, training, or support Friendly and able to build rapport with clients from a wide range of backgrounds Comfortable working collaboratively with a small team Independence With Accountability This position offers significant flexibility. You'll manage your own consultation calendar rather than following a traditional office schedule. We care about responsiveness, client experience, sales performance, and ownership—not whether every workday looks exactly the same. However, flexibility does not mean leads can wait. Incoming opportunities must be contacted promptly, consultations need to be scheduled, quotes require follow-up, and existing clients need consistent communication throughout their projects. We're looking for someone who can manage that responsibility without needing to be constantly reminded or supervised.
