Role overview You will process and check UK staff expense claims, keeping spend accurate, compliant and reimbursed on time. This is a hands-on role where accuracy and follow-through matter every day, and you will be trusted to work independently without being chased. You will also be part of a supportive remote team, with regular check-ins, clear priorities and the tools you need to do your best work from day one, so you always know what good looks like. You will work UK business hours (09:00–17:00 UK, 11:00–19:00 SAST) from home, as part of a South African team placed directly with established UK employers. Remote Recruitment supports you from placement onwards. Key responsibilities - Check expense claims against receipts and company policy - Code expenses correctly in the accounting system - Chase missing receipts and clarify queries with claimants - Prepare reimbursement batches for approval - Report monthly spend trends to the finance team What you'll need - Experience processing expenses in Expensify, Xero or similar - Good Excel skills - Attention to detail with receipts and coding - Clear, polite written communication - Comfort working to payroll and month-end deadlines Nice to have - Familiarity with Dext or Fyle - Experience with VAT on expenses - Corporate card reconciliation What's on offer - R23 000 – R25 000 per month, paid monthly - 100% remote, working UK hours - Long-term role with a UK employer and ongoing support from Remote Recruitment - Clear onboarding and a team that wants you to succeed Originally posted on Himalayas
