Expanding Hedge Fund - Fund Accountant (30-50K + good bonus)

The Company

My client is a well-established and growing hedge fund with a strong performance record, a Western culture , and a highly experienced senior leadership team. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to add a Fund Operations professional to their team.

This role offers broad exposure across trade support, fund accounting, reconciliations, NAV oversight, and operational controls , while also providing opportunities to streamline processes and support automation initiatives. You will work closely with senior stakeholders in a stable, collaborative, and supportive environment .

Candidates with around 3-7 years of experience from Fund Accounting or Fund Operations are encouraged to apply. Exposure to coding or process automation would be a plus.

The Role

• Reconciliations: Perform regular cash, portfolio, and transaction reconciliations to identify discrepancies, investigate breaks, and ensure data integrity across internal and external systems.
• NAV and Fund administration: Assist with investment vehicle accounting activities, including portfolio valuations, NAV calculations, and periodic reporting to ensure accurate record keeping and operational efficiency.
• Investor transactions: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and other investor-related activities while ensuring a smooth client experience.
• Risk and reporting: Monitor operational metrics and support the preparation of regulatory and internal reports, maintaining compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Stakeholder management: Liaise with service providers, counterparties, and internal teams to resolve operational issues, improve workflows, and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
• Process improvement: Contribute to operational enhancement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, supporting automation efforts, and helping to strengthen overall controls.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Fund Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• CPA qualification (completed or in progress) would be a strong advantage.
• About 3-7 years of experience in fund operations, fund accounting, NAV calculation, trade operations, reconciliation, or middle office functions.
• Strong understanding of fund structures, valuation processes, and operational workflows within the asset management or hedge fund industry.
• Good knowledge of investment products and the trade lifecycle would be beneficial.
• Proficiency in Excel; exposure to fund accounting platforms or data analytics tools is advantageous.
• Experience with Excel, VBA, or automation tools would be highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
