The short version

Construction runs on conversations. At trade shows, on site, over terrible coffee in a portacabin, and online. We want someone to find the right rooms for SymTerra to be in, build the partnerships that get us there, and turn every one of those moments into content people actually want to watch, hear and share.

About SymTerra

SymTerra is a communication and reporting tool for on-site construction and infrastructure teams. We replace paper forms, endless email chains and the 400-message WhatsApp group with something site teams actually want to use. We’re growing fast, and we need more people to know we exist.

What you’ll do

  • Own our events calendar. Trade shows, conferences, roundtables, webinars and our own customer events. Decide which ones are worth our time and money, then prove it with leads.
  • Build campaigns around every event. Pre-event outreach and meeting bookings, content on the day, and follow-up the sales team can act on that week, not that quarter.
  • Build partnerships that open doors. Event organisers, trade bodies, industry media and complementary tech companies. Think co-hosted sessions, sponsorships, speaking slots and joint content.
  • Run our webinar series, and develop our podcast. Conversations with the people who build things, that site teams and construction leaders choose to tune in to.
  • Film, edit and produce video. Customer stories, product demos, event highlights and short clips for social. Good enough to be proud of, quick enough to be useful.
  • Turn every event into pipeline. Work with our Marketing Manager and sales team so every contact made lands in HubSpot with a clear next step.
  • Run the practical side. Kit, suppliers, budgets, logistics, whatever it takes to make the right impact.

What you’ll bring

  • A track record of planning and running events, and building partnerships that led to campaigns and measurable leads.
  • Hands-on video and audio production: shooting, lighting, sound and editing.
  • Experience creating and growing a content series, such as a podcast, webinar or video series.
  • Comfort on camera, and the knack of making other people comfortable on camera too.
  • Serious organisation. You can juggle suppliers, deadlines and travel without dropping anything.
  • Happy to travel across the UK regularly, including some overnight stays.

Nice to have

  • Experience in construction, infrastructure or B2B tech. Honestly, it’s not essential. We can teach you the industry. What we can’t teach is how to run a great event or make a great video.
  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM.

What success looks like in your first year

  • A library of customer and event video that sales and marketing use every week
  • An events and partnerships plan agreed early and delivered within budget
  • A steady flow of qualified leads and meetings from events and partners, tracked in HubSpot
  • A regular webinar rhythm with a growing audience
