Events Executive

Hybrid, London - City

Full time, Permanent

Salary: £33,000 - £36,000

Your Role:

As an Events Executive, you will take ownership of individual events, programmes and initiatives from initial planning through to delivery and evaluation. Working with stakeholders to understand objectives and shape the approach, you will manage the content, planning, organisation and delivery needed to turn those objectives into well-run, high-quality experiences.

You will lead your projects day to day, developing plans, managing timelines and budgets, coordinating suppliers and keeping delivery on track. This will include negotiating contracts, raising purchase orders and monitoring spend, alongside managing speakers, partners and delegates throughout the event lifecycle.

Some projects will involve working closely with senior stakeholders, including presidents and boards, so you will need to be comfortable building relationships at this level, understanding different priorities and maintaining momentum while taking responsibility for the detail.

You will manage the systems and processes that underpin successful delivery, including CRM and digital event platforms, registration, event communications and reporting. You will use data and feedback to measure performance against agreed objectives and identify practical improvements for future activity.

Alongside delivering individual events, you will take responsibility for wider initiatives such as the New Gen programme, bringing together content, stakeholder management, planning and delivery. You will work collaboratively with the wider team, while being trusted to manage your own projects and see them through successfully.

This is an opportunity to own projects, bring new ideas to the table and influence how our events develop and grow . You’ll build your experience as part of the wider Events team and join an organisation where events play a central role in how we engage and support our members.

You:

- You have previous experience delivering events, programmes or similar projects, and are comfortable taking responsibility for them from planning through to completion. - You are a capable and organised project manager, able to build a clear plan, manage competing priorities and keep multiple strands of work moving. - You are confident working independently, using your judgement to solve problems, make decisions and keep delivery on track. - You can build credible relationships with a range of stakeholders and are comfortable working with senior stakeholders, including presidents and boards. - You understand the practical and commercial elements of event delivery, including budgets, suppliers, contracts, speakers and delegate management. - You are confident using event systems, CRM and digital platforms, and can use data, feedback and KPIs to assess performance and improve future delivery. - You bring ideas as well as execution, with the ability to develop content and contribute to how programmes and initiatives are shaped, rather than simply delivering a predetermined plan.
