Do you have Livery experience?
We’re Seasoned – an amazingly dynamic team of highly motivated, bright, talented people whose sole focus is on creating extraordinary smile-inducing food and drink experiences. We are café, hospitality, event management, and fine dining experts providing the freshest, seasonal, sustainable, ethical, and local ingredients.
We're looking for an experienced, commercially driven Sales Manager to grow event sales across our prestigious portfolio of Livery Halls. This role combines the management and conversion of incoming enquiries with a significant focus on proactively generating new business, developing agent and corporate relationships, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue across London's historic event spaces.
Working closely with the Head of Sales and wider team, you'll take ownership of your sales pipeline and individual targets, develop proactive sales plans and manage enquiries confidently from initial contact to confirmation. Ability to work independently, with initiative and strong commercial judgement is a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of delivering the sales plan across the Seasoned Events portfolio of Livery Halls, working closely with the Head of Sales.
- Effectively communicate with Key Clients via telephone, face to face and written communication to identify full potential for, and to gain maximum commitment to purchase Seasoned Events / Crown Partnership Products.
- Develop and maintain a database of bookers and regularly communicate about the venue, offers and any other relevant news to generate new business.
- Maintain regular contact with past clients and enquiries employing sales skills to gain more enquiries and confirmations from these clients.
- Lead a structured programme of proactive sales activity, independently identifying and approaching new corporate clients, agencies and event bookers to generate qualified enquiries and confirmed business.
- Build and maintain a targeted prospect list, with regular outreach, agency appointments, site visits and reactivation of lapsed clients to create a sustainable pipeline of new business.
- Identify quieter dates, underperforming event segments and new market opportunities, proposing and implementing commercially focused activity to improve revenue and venue utilisation.
- Manage referrals for unavailable venues, proactively identifying suitable alternatives across the Seasoned portfolio and maximising conversion opportunities.
- Prepare compelling, commercially competitive proposals for incoming enquiries, responding promptly and tailoring each proposal to the client brief.
- Own and consistently progress the sales pipeline through timely, purposeful follow-up, confident negotiation and effective closing techniques.
- Represent the livery halls at key commercial events, networking opportunities, client meetings and venue showcases, including occasional evening events.
- Generate and convert enquiries to achieve individual annual revenue targets, monitoring pipeline value, conversion performance and forecasted revenue.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, activity reporting and sales forecasts, using pipeline data to identify risks and opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Sales and Marketing Teams to develop targeted campaigns, sales initiatives and strong relationships with venue stakeholders.
Product Knowledge
- Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of all Seasoned Events Venues / Crown Partnership products.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of internal Livery Events and the wider Livery landscape, identifying opportunities to reach new bookers and build relevant networks.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of Haberdashers’ Hall, Salters’ Hall and Painters’ Hall, confidently selling the full Livery portfolio rather than focusing solely on the base venue.
- Be able to match appropriate products to clients' requirements.
- Be able to demonstrate a full knowledge of all Seasoned Events / Crown Partnership products and effectively communicate the benefits of using these products to clients.
- Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of competitor products.
Administration
- Prioritise diary and workload effectively, balancing proactive prospecting, client meetings, incoming enquiries and timely follow-up.
- Maintain accurate records of all client contacts, sales activity, pipeline updates and performance reporting.
- Manage all correspondence relating to sales activity, including quotations, proposals, negotiations and booking confirmations.
General
- Maintain high standard of personal presentation.
- Represent Seasoned Events and Crown Partnership in a professional manner at all times.
- Undertake all responsibilities with reference to Crown Partnership procedures.
- Ensure safe working area and work procedures in line with Company Policy.
