Vancouver Christmas Market 2026 If you have lived in Vancouver for a while, chances are high you've been to the Vancouver Christmas Market. Our authentic outdoor German Christmas Market features unique holiday shopping, seasonal entertainment, and delicious traditional food and drinks. Located in the downtown core of Vancouver, at Jack Poole Plaza, the Christmas Market will be open to the public daily from mid-November to December 24. Full-Time Contract Opportunity – Event & Recruitment Coordinator Vancouver Christmas Market Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, professional and detail-oriented Event Recruitment Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the HR Manager, the Event Recruitment Coordinator will lead the full cycle of recruitment, training programs, and staff morale. This position is a full-time seasonal contract from September 14th, 2026 to January 31st, 2027 with the possibility to extend after January. It is a combination of home office and office days, becoming full-time in office & on-site from late summer to the end of the season. Roles and Responsibilities Help oversee full cycle of recruitment and selection process Coordination of employment offers, contracts, onboarding process & other required documentation Use HR tools for optimal hiring procedure & testing Provide employment references check Maintain the employee records in our HRIS (BrightHR) Review of VCM employment agreements Coordination of orientation and training day(s) – incl. structure for training days with other Departments Retain staff morale with incentive plans, hospitality benefits & team building activities Manage staff sign-in & out tool (WhenIWork) for accurate hour tracking, support with staff scheduling Oversee the project budget in areas of responsibility Act as liaison between VCM, staff, partners, suppliers, etc. on behalf of company Maintain physical presence of VCM team on site during event hours Maintain effective communication to ensure relevant departments are kept informed of activities & objectives Other projects and duties as assigned by the Company Requirements and Selection Criteria Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Event Management, or HR Management preferred. Minimum 2 year of experience in Recruitment and events Advanced proficiency with software and online tools (Microsoft Office, Airtable, WhenIWork) Diplomatic approach while working within policies, rules, and procedures. Ability to multitask within tight deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills Experience with scheduling and overseeing the activities of large groups. Ability to take projects from concept through execution to final production Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments, problem-solving skills, and an innovative mindset including exercising good judgment and decision making.
