Estimator

• Establish and implement “best practices” and focuses on continuous improvement in commercial department & Estimation Team.
• Study, analyze and evaluate tender documents from a technical point of view in order to identify risk factors, ensuring that technical terms comply with the relevant standards for the overall risk assessment and bid decision.
• Solicit and follow-up with the design from Sales/Bid Coordinator during tender preparation for any pending RFIs, Tender Documents, Lead Form & Addendums.
• Coordinate with the Design Team for the D&B project for any discrepancy of details from drawings.
• Closely monitor resource allocation of Estimation Team, making sure that all project in the pipeline are on track for any due dates of submission.
• Generate daily tender status report highlighting the progress on concerned tenders.
• Review and finalizes project cost estimates as prepared by the Estimators in terms of the required material as per bill of quantities, amount of work, material/ equipment/ and manpower requirements / logistics / addendums during the tendering phase.
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Adjudicate and review BOQ package for accuracy and completeness prior to release of the Tender Documents.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and corporate/client presentation meetings as required.
• Ensure historical data is documented (Tracking System) and monitored for future referencing and substantiations.
• This is an office-based estimation role that reports directly to the Head of Estimation responsible for the execution of estimates and presentations.

Essential

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Good analytical and numeral skills
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in the construction industry as an Estimator
• Experience with estimates requiring attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PlanSwift and AutoCAD or similar software.
• Ability to meet deadlines under extreme pressure.
• Ability to read & translate engineering drawings.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
