The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction contracting, cost estimation, tender preparation, and commercial evaluation. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage the estimation and tendering team . - Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements. - Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions . - Analyze project quantities, material costs, labour costs, subcontractor quotations, and equipment requirements. - Coordinate with procurement, project management, engineering, and commercial teams. - Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. - Identify project risks, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost impacts. - Prepare detailed BOQs, rate analysis, and cost breakdowns . - Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations. - Ensure tenders are submitted within deadlines and meet client requirements. - Conduct value engineering and cost optimization where required. - Monitor market rates and maintain updated cost databases. - Participate in tender clarification meetings and negotiations with clients. - Provide support during project handover from estimation to execution. - Ensure compliance with company commercial procedures and tendering standards. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. - Strong experience in construction contracting and estimation . - Proven experience in a Managerial Estimation / Tendering role . - Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials, subcontracting, and market rates. - Experience handling large-scale construction projects and complex tenders. - Excellent understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and cost planning. - Strong negotiation, analytical, leadership, and communication skills. - UAE/GCC contracting experience is highly preferred. - Candidates from main contracting / construction contracting companies are preferred.
