# Estimation Engineer (MEP) **Gridpoint Electromechanical Works L.L.C** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 3 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role MEP Estimation Engineer Location: Dubai, UAE Salary: AED 5,000/month Experience: Minimum 3 years UAE experience Industry: MEP / HVAC Contracting Preferred Background: Villas, luxury villas and residential projects Job Summary We are looking for an experienced MEP Estimation Engineer who can independently handle complete MEP quotations from initial drawing review through final tender preparation. The successful candidate must be fast, accurate and commercially aware, with the ability to prepare complete quotations for MEP and HVAC works with minimal supervision. Strong experience in villas and luxury residential projects in Dubai/UAE is highly preferred. Villa experience will be given priority over high-rise building experience. Main Responsibilities * Review architectural, MEP and tender drawings. * Understand project scope, specifications and consultant requirements. * Carry out accurate quantity take-offs for: * Electrical works * Plumbing and drainage * HVAC / AC works * Fire alarm and firefighting when applicable * ELV systems when applicable * Prepare complete detailed BOQs. * Prepare professional client quotations and tender submissions. * Prepare detailed material, labour and subcontractor cost estimates. * Develop proper unit rates and cost breakdowns. * Send RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors. * Follow up suppliers and obtain quotations quickly. * Prepare supplier and subcontractor comparison sheets. * Identify missing items or discrepancies in drawings and BOQs. * Prepare exclusions, assumptions, provisional sums and clarifications. * Prepare value-engineering alternatives when required. * Maintain updated UAE supplier and subcontractor pricing. * Price project variations and additional works. * Coordinate with site/project engineers when required. * Prepare final tender packages ready for management review and submission. Required Candidate * Minimum 3 years UAE experience in MEP estimation and tendering. * Previous experience with an MEP contracting company. * Strong experience in villa and residential MEP estimation is preferred. * Must be able to prepare quotations independently without requiring continuous supervision. * Must understand current UAE material, labour and subcontractor rates. * Good understanding of Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage and HVAC systems. * Strong quantity take-off and BOQ preparation skills. * Strong Microsoft Excel skills. * AutoCAD knowledge required. * PlanSwift or similar quantity take-off software is an advantage. * Good communication with suppliers and subcontractors. * Ability to handle several quotations simultaneously. * Ability to work under tender deadlines and produce quotations quickly.
