# Estimation Engineer **DYNAMIC MOTION** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 3 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Position: Estimation Engineer Department: Estimation / Commercial Industry: Interior Fit-Out, Joinery, Exhibitions and Fabrication Work Location: Dubai, UAE Reports To: Estimation Manager / General Manager Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate, technically compliant and competitive estimates for interior fit-out, joinery, exhibition, retail display and fabrication projects. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, conducting quantity take-offs, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations, preparing detailed cost estimates and submitting commercial proposals within the required deadlines. Key Responsibilities Review tender documents, architectural drawings, shop drawings, BOQs, specifications and client requirements. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for all project activities. Estimate costs for joinery, carpentry, metal, acrylic, painting, printing, electrical, civil, MEP, signage, transportation and installation works. Calculate material, labour, machinery, subcontractor, logistics and overhead costs. Identify the complete project scope, technical requirements, exclusions, assumptions and commercial risks. Send enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors and obtain competitive quotations. Review and compare supplier and subcontractor offers for technical and commercial compliance. Prepare detailed costing sheets, BOQs, commercial proposals and tender submissions. Attend site visits, technical meetings and pre-tender meetings when required. Coordinate with the Design team to clarify drawings, specifications and technical requirements. Coordinate with Production, Projects, Purchase, Store, Accounts and Management during the estimation process. Prepare value-engineering proposals to reduce project costs without affecting quality, functionality or design intent. Identify discrepancies between drawings, BOQs and specifications and raise clarification requests. Ensure all quotations are accurate, commercially viable and submitted within the required deadline. Prepare estimates and supporting documents for project variations and additional works. Maintain updated records of material prices, labour rates, supplier quotations and subcontractor costs. Monitor submitted quotations and regularly update the tender status report. Compare estimated costs against actual project costs and identify cost variances. Prepare a complete project estimation handover package after receiving the project award. Explain the project scope, approved costing, exclusions, supplier quotations and budget allocation to the Project and Production teams. Maintain the confidentiality of company pricing, commercial information and client data. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant estimation experience . Experience in interior fit-out, joinery, exhibitions, retail displays, signage or fabrication is required. UAE or GCC experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of materials, production processes, labour productivity and market pricing. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, BOQs and technical specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD and relevant estimation software. Knowledge of MEP estimation will be an advantage. A valid UAE driving licence will be an advantage.
