# Estimation Engineer (Arabic ) - Oil & Gas company **LA MIDA CONTRACTING LLC** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Position: Estimation Engineer – Oil & Gas (Arabic Speaking) Department: Estimation / Commercial Industry: Oil & Gas / EPC Location: UAE Job Purpose The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, quotations, and commercial proposals for Oil & Gas projects. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, material requirements, subcontractor quotations, and project execution methodologies. Key Responsibilities Review tender documents, scope of work, specifications, drawings, BOQs, and client requirements. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for Oil & Gas projects. Analyze project requirements and identify the required manpower, materials, equipment, tools, and subcontractors. Prepare quantity take-offs from engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs. Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare RFQs and coordinate with procurement and vendors to obtain competitive pricing. Prepare detailed material, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates. Review technical and commercial requirements of tenders and identify exclusions, qualifications, and deviations. Prepare rate analysis and cost breakdowns for various activities. Develop competitive pricing strategies while maintaining required project margins. Conduct site visits, where required, to understand project conditions and scope. Prepare commercial comparison sheets and evaluate supplier/subcontractor offers. Assist in preparing tender submissions, commercial proposals, and supporting documents. Maintain an up-to-date database of material prices, labour rates, equipment costs, and subcontractor rates. Identify potential risks, cost impacts, and areas of cost savings during the tendering stage. Participate in clarification meetings with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors. Assist in post-tender negotiations and provide cost information to management. Ensure estimates are prepared within the required tender submission deadlines. Maintain proper records of estimates, quotations, supporting documents, and tender correspondence. Technical Requirements Good knowledge of Oil & Gas construction and EPC projects. Strong understanding of engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications, and scope of work. Knowledge of quantity surveying and quantity take-off methods. Experience in preparing rate analysis and detailed cost estimates. Good understanding of manpower productivity, material consumption, equipment costs, and subcontractor pricing. Familiarity with international standards and Oil & Gas specifications is preferred. Knowledge of estimation software, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and relevant ERP/ERP-based systems. Ability to analyze technical and commercial tender documents. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or relevant Engineering discipline. 7–10 years of experience in estimation/tendering, preferably within the Oil & Gas, EPC, or construction industry. Must Speak Arabic UAE/GCC project experience is preferred. Experience in preparing tenders and commercial proposals for Oil & Gas projects will be an advantage. Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
