Conduct routine equipment inspections, daily line patrols, and preventive maintenance activities. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Assist in resolving equipment-related abnormalities and minimize production downtime. Monitor equipment performance, availability, efficiency, yield, and recurring issues. Collect, analyze, and maintain equipment operation data, maintenance records, and performance reports. Support equipment optimization, modification, and continuous improvement projects. Coordinate with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and other relevant departments to resolve equipment issues. Ensure proper implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintenance schedules, and equipment standards. Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and qualification when required. Conduct equipment performance monitoring and provide technical recommendations for improvement. Support the training and technical guidance of operators, technicians, and assistant engineers. Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and established workplace safety procedures. Prepare shift handover reports and communicate equipment abnormalities, maintenance activities, and pending concerns. Escalate critical equipment issues to the immediate supervisor or senior engineer and provide timely updates. Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related engineering field. Preferably with experience in solar cell manufacturing, photovoltaic, semiconductor, electronics, or other high-tech manufacturing industries. Relevant experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, or process equipment operations is an advantage. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or automated equipment systems. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify equipment abnormalities and support root cause analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and technical reporting. Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills. Willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Willing to work on shifting schedules, six days a week, and render overtime when necessary. Fresh graduates with relevant educational backgrounds and strong technical aptitude may be considered for assistant engineer positions, subject to the department's requirements. Preferred Skills Familiarity with industrial automation, PLC systems, sensors, motors, and control systems. Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures. Experience in equipment troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and maintenance documentation. Familiarity with solar cell manufacturing equipment and production line operations. Ability to interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and electrical or mechanical diagrams. Knowledge of root cause analysis, 5S, EHS, and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.
