Enterprise Sales Executive

SymTerraLondon

The role

We're hiring an Enterprise Sales Executive to win and grow SymTerra's largest accounts: principal contractors, Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction firms, utility companies, and the infrastructure asset owners whose standards flow down their supply chains. You'll own a book of named target accounts, run multi-stakeholder deals worth £50k+ ARR, and bring new opportunities to grow our book across the UK.

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer Location: London, hybrid, with regular travel to client sites and offices Type: Full time, permanent

About SymTerra

SymTerra connects site and office. Teams on the ground capture site notes, inspections, permits and progress on mobile; the office sees it in real time, in one structured record, ready for reporting, assurance and commercial defence. Nobody on a site is short of data. What's missing is somewhere for it to go.

Our platform already runs across critical UK infrastructure supporting capital delivery and ongoing development in Water, Transport and other key sectors. We’re growing fast with a strong and committed team, and are looking for great people to join us.

What you'll do

  • Own a named account list. Build and work a target list of UK principal contractors, Tier 1/Tier 2 firms, utilities and infrastructure clients, with account plans for each.
  • Open doors through your network. Use your existing relationships with operations, commercial, digital and HSEQ leaders to get SymTerra in front of the right people early.
  • Run complex sales cycles end to end. Prospect, lead discovery, run tailored demos and pilots, and write commercial proposals; navigate procurement, IT security review and framework requirements through negotiation to signature.
  • Land and expand. Turn a successful project or division into a regional or group-wide agreement, and use the supply chain to pull subcontractors onto the platform behind a principal contractor.
  • Sell the business case, not the features. Translate time saved, assurance, dispute defence and reporting quality into language that works for a Commercial Director, an Operations Director and a CIO in the same room.
  • Hand over cleanly. Work closely with Customer Success and Implementation so every new account gets off to a strong start.
  • Forecast with discipline. Keep pipeline, stakeholder maps and next steps accurate in HubSpot, and call your number with confidence.
  • Help shape the playbook. Refine our sales process, messaging and enterprise playbook as we scale, and feed what you hear in the market back into product, pricing and marketing.

What we're looking for

Essential

  • A track record of closing enterprise B2B deals (typically £40k+ annual value) with long, multi-stakeholder buying cycles.
  • Experience selling SaaS, technology or services into construction, utilities, civil engineering or the wider built environment.
  • A real understanding of how construction and utility businesses operate, on site and in the office.
  • An active network inside UK construction or utilities: people at principal contractors, Tier 1/Tier 2 firms or major clients who will take your call.
  • Confidence with procurement, frameworks, IT security questionnaires and contract negotiation.
  • Strong discovery skills: you ask the questions that reveal how site and office really work, and build the business case from the answers.
  • Excellent communication, written and in the room, from site teams to the boardroom.
  • A self-starter, comfortable in a scaling business where you'll shape process as well as follow it.

Desirable

  • Experience in construction tech or digital site management tools (site management, document control, H&S, quality or field data platforms).
  • Relationships in our priority sectors: water utilities and their contractors, rail and transport, highways, or energy.
  • Experience selling to site and project managers as well as senior leadership.
  • An operational background on site or in a contractor before moving into sales.
  • Experience of land-and-expand selling, growing a single-project win into a framework or group-wide deal.
  • Knowledge of HubSpot or a similar CRM, and of a structured sales methodology such as MEDDICC.

What success looks like in Year 1

  • First 30 days: You know the product, our enterprise references and our sector story well enough to run a first meeting on your own. Your named account list and account plans are agreed.
  • First 90 days: You've opened conversations with senior stakeholders at a meaningful share of your target accounts, have qualified opportunities in pipeline, and are progressing at least one towards pilot or proposal.
  • First 6 months: First enterprise deal closed, or in final commercials, with a forecastable pipeline behind it.
  • First 12 months: Consistently hitting your new-business and expansion target, with at least one existing account grown into a multi-division or group-wide agreement.

Pay: £100,000.00-£150,000.00 per year
