# Engineering Stores Coordinator **Westland Horticulture Ltd** · Ellesmere Port CH65 4LD · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Westland Horticulture Ltd. are looking for an Engineering Stores Coordinator to manage and maintain the Engineering Stores, ensuring agreed spare parts, components and consumables are available to the Engineering Department when required, either in stock or available at short notice. Main Responsibilities - Manage stock control of all spare parts, components and consumables held within the Engineering Stores. - Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained to support engineering and maintenance requirements. - Maintain the Engineering Stores to a high standard of housekeeping, organisation and safety. - Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure all Z-Codes are counted within a 12-month cycle. - Take responsibility for ordering spare parts, components and consumables in line with agreed requirements and purchasing procedures. - Manage the Engineering COSHH system, ensuring chemicals are appropriately controlled and recorded. - Monitor and report trends in parts usage and associated costs. - Report any issues or concerns to the Maintenance Manager, particularly those relating to Health & Safety and stock availability. - Maintain appropriate supplier and contact details to support the ordering and procurement of key non-stock items. - Where required, arrange the safe transportation of parts or equipment to and from suppliers. - Obtain and compare supplier prices to identify cost-effective purchasing opportunities. - Produce weekly reports on outstanding orders and delivery variances, including relevant part, supplier and delivery information. - Assist the Engineering Department with compliance requirements, including statutory testing and inspections, as required. Essential Criteria - Previous experience working within a high-volume manufacturing or production environment. - At least one year's experience in a similar engineering stores, maintenance stores, purchasing or production environment. - Excellent organisational, prioritisation and follow-up skills, with strong attention to detail. - Good problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach. - Understanding of purchase order and purchasing systems. - Good working knowledge of stock control and ERP systems. - Good understanding of safe working practices within a manufacturing and engineering environment. - Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel. - Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. - Ability to work independently and as part of the Engineering team. Hours of Work - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. All the above will be discussed in more detail at the interview stage along with the rewards package.
