We are recruiting for a reputed oil and gas company. Join the Owner’s PMT supporting a brownfield EPC project within an operating facility. UAE-based candidates with relevant experience and early availability are preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a multidisciplinary Owner’s engineering team and challenge EPC contractor design assumptions, progress and interface gaps.

Monitor Approved for Construction packages against a compressed 6–8-month engineering and procurement programme.

Review technical bid evaluations, material requisitions and long-lead equipment readiness; control design freeze and late changes.

Verify tie-in readiness using field checks, as-builts and 3D models; represent the Owner in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and constructability reviews.

Oversee technical queries, engineering variations and progressive handover of as-builts, asset registers and models.

Requirements

15+ years of engineering management experience, including Owner’s Representative or PMC assignments.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.

Proven brownfield delivery inside live hazardous facilities, ideally oil and gas, terminals or petrochemicals.

Strong multidisciplinary interface management across process, piping, civil, mechanical and E&I.

Ability to navigate 3D design models and translate technical risks into clear executive reports.

Evidence of managing fast-track engineering, procurement gates and contractor accountability.

• An EPC contractor is behind on AFC deliverables and long-lead TBEs. What would you check and prioritise to recover a 6–8-month design and procurement gate?
• How would you verify a proposed tie-in when the as-built drawings and 3D model disagree with site conditions?
• Give an example of a technical query or engineering change that could create an unjustified variation. How would you assess and document it?
