MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES - Monitor project budgets for store and office fit-outs - Validate project costings from suppliers and contractors - Coordinate with Purchasing on cost-efficient materials and services - Review budget variances and identify cost-saving measures - Approve requisitions based on scope and alignment with budget - Allocate engineering and design resources across multiple projects - Coordinate project timelines to optimize team productivity - Review supplier and contractor proposals for best value - Monitor usage of design materials and tools - Direct project execution for construction, renovation, and fit-outs - Monitor site progress and resolve implementation concerns - Coordinate with mall administrators for schedules and approvals - Verify project milestones and deliverables - Standardize design templates and project documentation - Update procedures for maintenance and repair requests - Facilitate improvements to project planning and execution - Align store and office designs with brand standards - Oversee signage and display installations across locations - Ensure visual uniformity across retail and head office spaces - Enhance retail ambiance through optimized visual merchandising - Coordinate display layouts to support sales and marketing objectives QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education ● Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Industrial Design; related fields acceptable. Experience ● 5–6 years of experience in engineering, architectural design, or project management, handling construction, renovation, or maintenance projects. ● Experience managing multi-site projects or leading engineering/design teams preferred. Knowledge & Skills ● Technical proficiency in design and engineering software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Photoshop, MS Office). ● Project management for planning, execution, and monitoring of concurrent projects. ● Design and planning skills for spatial layouts, branding integration, and retail/commercial environments. ● Problem-solving in project execution and issue resolution. ● Collaboration and coordination with internal teams and external contractors or suppliers. Competencies ● Technical proficiency in applying engineering and design principles effectively. ● Leadership in supervising, coaching, and guiding team members. ● Planning and organization to manage multiple projects simultaneously. ● Analytical and problem-solving capabilities for project challenges. Stakeholder management with internal departments and external partners.
