# ELV Technician **talent consultant** · Doha · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 4 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role a skilled and experienced ELV Technician to install, test, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with security systems, structured cabling, networking, and integrated ELV solutions while ensuring compliance with Qatar standards, client requirements, and company quality procedures. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, test, and commission ELV systems in accordance with approved shop drawings and project specifications. Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of: CCTV Surveillance Systems Access Control Systems Video Intercom Systems Intrusion/Burglar Alarm Systems Time Attendance Systems Public Address (PA) Systems Structured Cabling Systems (Copper & Fiber Optic) Network Infrastructure Telephone Systems Wi-Fi Systems Audio-Visual (AV) Systems Install cable trays, conduits, trunking, junction boxes, and related accessories. Terminate and test Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic, and other communication cables. Perform cable testing and certification using industry-standard testing equipment. Configure IP-based devices, network switches, NVRs, DVRs, controllers, and related ELV equipment. Assist engineers during system integration, testing, commissioning, and handover. Diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently to minimize downtime. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of installed ELV systems. Maintain accurate installation records, maintenance reports, and service documentation. Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients during installation activities. Ensure work is completed within project schedules and quality standards. Follow company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Attend emergency service calls and provide technical support when required. Maintain tools, testing equipment, and company assets in good working condition. Qualifications and Requirements: Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as an ELV Technician. Experience working in Qatar or GCC countries is preferred. Valid Qatar Driving License is an advantage. Strong knowledge of ELV installation standards and best practices. Experience with: CCTV Systems Access Control Systems Video Intercom Systems Intrusion Alarm Systems Structured Cabling Fiber Optic Installation and Termination Network Cabling IP Networking Fundamentals Public Address Systems Audio-Visual Systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematic layouts. Experience using cable testers, fiber testing equipment, multimeters, and commissioning tools. Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking fundamentals. Familiarity with system programming and configuration is an advantage. Understanding of Qatar Civil Defence (QCDD) requirements is preferred. Work Location: In person
