ELV Sales Engineer
Job Overview: The ELV (Extra Low Voltage) Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting, selling, and managing the full range of ELV systems and solutions to clients, contractors, and consultants in various sectors including residential, education, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, government and O&G. The role involves both pre-sales and post-sales support, identifying customer needs, preparing technical proposals, managing relationships, and ensuring the successful implementation of solutions. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development : Identify and generate new business opportunities in the ELV sector. Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, contractors, consultants, and decision-makers. Actively follow up on inquiries, leads, and sales opportunities. Conduct product presentations, product demonstrations, and solution briefings to clients. Prepare and deliver detailed technical and commercial proposals. Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the ELV division. Technical Expertise & Support : Provide technical expertise and support to clients, including system design and product specifications. Perform site surveys and feasibility studies to propose optimal ELV solutions. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that proposed solutions meet the technical requirements of the client. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in ELV systems (e.g., Automation, Converged Network Systems, CCTV, Access Control, Public Address Systems, Structured Cabling, , etc.). Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Provide after-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving any technical issues or concerns. Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, from initial inquiry to project completion. Project Coordination & Management : (where applicable) Coordinate with the project management team to ensure smooth execution of ELV installations. Monitor project progress, timelines, and budgets. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Provide technical training to customers when needed on the operation and maintenance of installed systems. Reporting & Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and project progress. Provide regular reports to the Sales Manager or management team on sales performance and business development activities. Prepare documentation including quotes, technical drawings, system layouts, and other necessary paperwork for client submissions. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field. Additional certifications in ELV systems (e.g., CCTV, Access Control, BMS, Fire Alarm Systems, Network and Infrastructure Systems) will be a plus. Experience : 3-6 years of experience in sales or technical support of ELV systems. Experience with handling large projects and client relationships in the ELV industry is preferred. Prior experience with design and implementation of ELV systems is highly desirable. Skills : Strong knowledge of ELV systems, their components, and applications. Good understanding of local regulations, standards, and codes related to ELV installations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD (or similar design software), and other project management tools. Working Conditions: Full-time position, with travel to client sites for project meetings, site surveys, and installations. Some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate client schedules. Having a valid UAE drivers license a MUST. Compensation / Perks: Competitive salary, with performance-based bonuses / commissions Benefits package (healthcare, travel allowances, etc.).
