ELV Sales Engineer – Technical Solutions Specialist

About the Role

AABTools is looking for an ELV Sales Engineer – Technical Solutions Specialist with a strong background in ELV, networking, and electrical testing applications.

The role involves providing technical solutions, demonstrating professional testing equipment, advising customers on product applications, and supporting the sales team in developing business opportunities.

You will work with electrical and ELV contractors, system integrators, consultants, and other customers to recommend suitable solutions for network testing, fibre-optic testing, structured cabling, and electrical measurement applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand customer and project requirements and recommend suitable ELV, networking, and electrical testing solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on network testers, cable certification equipment, fibre-optic testers, OTDRs, multimeters, clamp meters, and related instruments.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, equipment trials, and customer training.
• Visit customer sites to provide application support, troubleshooting assistance, and product recommendations.
• Support the sales team with technical enquiries, customer visits, product selection, and business development.
• Build relationships with electrical and ELV contractors, MEP contractors, system integrators, consultants, and network infrastructure teams.
• Participate in exhibitions and product demonstrations, and stay updated on relevant technologies and market developments.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Networking, or a related technical field.
• Experience in technical sales, application engineering, technical support, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of ELV systems, structured cabling, network testing, or fibre-optic testing , supported by an understanding of electrical systems and testing instruments.
• Ability to explain technical products and applications clearly and confidently.
• Good communication, presentation, troubleshooting, and customer relationship skills.
• UAE market experience is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within the UAE.

Technical Experience – An Advantage

Candidates with knowledge or experience in the following areas will have an advantage:

• Copper and fiber network testing
• LAN/network certification and qualification
• Fiber optic testing and troubleshooting
• OTDR and optical loss testing
• Network installation and commissioning
• Ethernet and PoE testing
• Data center and structured cabling environments
• Network troubleshooting tools and test equipment
• Deep technical knowledge of electrical tools with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and independently on technical projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and company locations as required.

• Related to Network testing: Can you explain the difference between a cable verifier, a cable certifier, and an OTDR, and where each is used?
• About Electrical testing: Are you familiar with multimeters, clamp meters, and the applications of electrical measurement instruments?
• For Technical sales: Can you demonstrate equipment, explain test results, and recommend the right product based on a customer's actual requirement?
