# Electrical Tester - Lighting Controls **OKTO technologies** · Trafalgar Square · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role THE ROLE Electrical Inspection & Testing Engineer Luxury hotel development, central London LOCATION London CONTRACT 4 weeks initially — immediate start RATE £350.00 per day HOURS Standard days, 07:30–16:30, one hour unpaid break EXTRA HOURS Extensive evenings and weekends at £43.75/hour ENGAGEMENT Day-rate contract, inside IR35 ABOUT THE WORK We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Electrical Inspection & Testing Engineer to join the team for a prestigious new luxury hotel development in central London. This project demands the highest standards of technical excellence and an uncompromising eye for detail to ensure the safety and functionality of a world-class hospitality environment. This role is critical to the final handover of the project. Candidates must demonstrate a "right first time" mentality and a deep respect for the architectural finishes of a luxury environment. RESPONSIBILITIES – Initial verification and periodic inspection: conduct comprehensive inspection and testing of new electrical installations across guest suites, high-end communal areas and complex plant rooms. – Certification: produce accurate, high-quality Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC) and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) using industry-standard software. – Compliance: ensure all electrical works meet BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and the specific luxury project specifications. – Fault finding: identify, document and oversee the rectification of any deviations or defects within electrical systems. – Collaboration: work closely with the project management team and specialist MEP contractors to maintain the development schedule without compromising on quality. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS – Qualifications: fully qualified with City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) in inspection and testing. – Certification: Gold JIB/ECS card holder. – Experience: proven track record on luxury high-end projects (for example 5-star hotels, high-end residential or Grade I/II listed refurbishments). – Technical knowledge: deep understanding of the latest IET Wiring Regulations and of high-specification lighting control systems (for example Lutron, Crestron, Schneider or Helvar). – DALI lighting control: extensive hands-on experience testing, addressing and commissioning DALI lighting control installations — essential. – Emergency lighting control: extensive experience with emergency lighting control systems, including monitored/self-test emergency luminaires, function and duration testing and BS 5266 certification — essential. – Professionalism: exceptional communication skills and a polished approach suitable for a premium development site. On site: own PPE and hand tools (company hi-viz provided); CSCS/ECS card and right-to-work evidence for site security; daily sign-in via the OKTO app. Extensive additional hours are available evenings and weekends at £43.75 per hour, pre-approved day by day.
