The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing electrical works at site in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. The candidate should have strong UAE site experience in MEP contracting , with hands-on knowledge of electrical installations, inspections, coordination, testing, and commissioning. Candidates who are currently available in the UAE and can join immediately will be given preference. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and execute all electrical installation works at site in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications. - Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and BOQ prior to execution. - Coordinate daily site activities with supervisors, foremen, technicians, subcontractors, and other MEP disciplines. - Supervise installation of: - LV power distribution systems - MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, and electrical panels - Lighting and emergency lighting systems - Small power systems - Cable trays, trunking, conduits, and containment systems - Power and control cabling - Earthing and lightning protection systems - Fire alarm systems - ELV and associated electrical systems - Ensure electrical works are executed as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and technical requirements. - Coordinate electrical works with Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Civil, Structural, and Architectural teams. - Identify site discrepancies, clashes, and technical issues and report them to the Senior Engineer or Project Manager. - Assist in raising RFIs and technical clarifications where required. - Prepare and submit inspection requests for completed electrical works. - Coordinate with QA/QC Engineers and consultants for inspections and approvals. - Ensure materials used at site are approved and comply with project specifications. - Monitor material requirements and coordinate with Procurement and Stores for timely availability. - Verify quantities, dimensions, levels, routes, and installation locations before execution. - Monitor manpower productivity, subcontractor performance, and work progress. - Maintain daily site records and prepare progress updates. - Assist in preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. - Ensure proper implementation of approved method statements and ITP requirements. - Rectify consultant comments, site observations, punch points, and NCR-related issues. - Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems. - Assist in insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, functional tests, and related commissioning activities. - Ensure proper labeling, identification, and documentation of electrical systems. - Support preparation of as-built drawings and final handover documentation. - Ensure all electrical works comply with HSE requirements and site safety procedures. - Report technical, quality, safety, or schedule concerns to the Project Manager promptly. Qualification & Experience - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. - Minimum 4–6 years of relevant electrical site experience in construction or MEP projects. - Minimum 2–3 years of UAE/GCC experience is preferred. - Previous experience with an MEP contractor or general contractor is highly preferred. - Hands-on experience in electrical installation, inspections, coordination, and testing. - Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, warehouse, residential, or similar construction projects will be an advantage. Technical Knowledge Candidates should have good practical knowledge of: - LV electrical systems - Power distribution - MDB, SMDB, DB, and panel installations - Lighting and small power systems - Cable containment systems - Cable pulling and termination - Earthing and lightning protection systems - Fire alarm systems - ELV systems - Electrical shop drawings and coordination drawings - Load schedules and single-line diagrams - Electrical inspection procedures - Testing and commissioning - As-built drawings - UAE electrical installation practices Software Skills - Good working knowledge of AutoCAD . - Good knowledge of MS Office , particularly Excel and Word. - Familiarity with Revit MEP / BIM will be an advantage. - Familiarity with project documentation and inspection systems will be preferred. Required Competencies - Strong site supervision and coordination skills. - Good technical understanding of electrical systems. - Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings accurately. - Strong attention to quality and installation details. - Good problem-solving abilities. - Ability to coordinate effectively with site teams and subcontractors. - Ability to work under tight project deadlines. - Good reporting and documentation skills. - Strong commitment to site safety and quality requirements. Preferred Candidate - Currently available in the UAE. - Immediate joining is strongly preferred. - Strong hands-on UAE MEP site experience. - Previous experience with MEP contracting companies. - Candidates with previous experience on Abu Dhabi projects will be preferred. - Ability to independently supervise electrical work fronts and coordinate with multiple site teams.
