The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial and quantity surveying aspects of electrical works, including quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, valuations, variations, and cost control. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review electrical quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and material quantities based on drawings and project specifications. Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and BOQs to identify discrepancies, scope changes, variations, and potential commercial risks. Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, variation claims, and final accounts for electrical works. Monitor project costs and quantities, ensuring electrical works remain within the approved budget. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and assist with tendering, pricing, and commercial negotiations. Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding measurements, quantities, variations, and commercial matters. Maintain accurate records of measurements, variations, claims, costs, and other QS documentation. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field . Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Quantity Surveyor. Strong knowledge of electrical BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, valuations, variations, and cost control . Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents . Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and relevant QS/cost estimation software . Good knowledge of electrical materials, installation methods, construction rates, and commercial procedures. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Qatar/GCC experience is preferred. Work Location: In person
