Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and technically competent Electrical Project Engineer in LV Switchgear Field to join our engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing electrical projects from the engineering and design stages through manufacturing, testing, and final delivery. The role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and effective coordination with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical engineering projects, preferably within LV switchgear or electrical panel manufacturing , along with strong project coordination and problem-solving skills .

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Engineering and Coordination

• Manage and monitor assigned electrical projects from initial engineering stages through manufacturing and final delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure project requirements are properly understood and fulfilled.
• Review project specifications, technical requirements, and contractual documents to ensure compliance with project scope.
• Monitor project progress and ensure all activities are completed within agreed schedules and budgets.
• Identify potential project issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.

1. Electrical Design and Technical Documentation

• Review and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate engineering documents, including electrical schematics, cable schedules, and technical drawings.
• Develop and review material requirements, Bills of Materials (BOM), and technical specifications.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain engineering documentation for client and consultant review and approval.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and ensure all engineering documents comply with applicable project requirements and electrical standards.
• Use AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software to prepare and modify technical drawings.

1. Manufacturing and Production Coordination

• Coordinate with the production team to ensure manufacturing activities comply with approved engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Provide technical clarification and resolve engineering-related issues during the manufacturing process.
• Review material requirements and coordinate with Procurement and Stores to ensure timely availability of project materials.
• Monitor manufacturing progress and identify potential delays or technical challenges.
• Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation and records.

1. Quality Assurance and Testing

• Coordinate with the QA/QC team to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable IEC standards.
• Support inspection activities, routine testing, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Review quality inspection reports and coordinate corrective actions for identified issues.
• Ensure all electrical components and manufactured panels meet required quality and safety standards.

1. Installation and Project Completion

• Provide engineering support during installation, testing, and commissioning activities, as required.
• Coordinate with clients and relevant teams to resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Ensure proper completion and submission of project engineering documentation.
• Monitor project deliverables and support timely project handover and closure.

1. Health, Safety, and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Follow applicable local and international electrical engineering standards.
• Identify and report potential safety risks associated with project activities.
• Ensure engineering activities meet relevant quality and safety requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent related field.

Professional Experience

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or project engineering.
• Experience in electrical panel manufacturing, LV switchgear, or industrial electrical projects is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in project coordination, engineering documentation, and manufacturing support is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of electrical power distribution systems and control circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and GA drawings.
• Knowledge of LV switchgear, control panels, and electrical components.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering design software.
• Knowledge of applicable IEC standards and electrical engineering requirements.
• Good understanding of material estimation, BOM preparation, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
