Electrical Project Engineer

What you will do

• Plan and supervise electrical works on site, including low-voltage distribution, power, lighting, earthing and low-current systems
• Review drawings and specifications, and prepare or check shop drawings, material submittals and work methods
• Work closely with consultants, main contractors, other MEP trades and subcontractors
• Handle submissions, inspections and approvals with the relevant utility and civil defence authorities
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and prepare regular reports, short-term work plans and manpower forecasts
• Raise material requests and confirm quantities and specifications with the purchasing team
• Prepare supporting documents for variations, record completed work and assist with monthly progress invoicing
• Lead testing and commissioning, snag closure, as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals
• Make sure quality and safety procedures are followed, including inspection requests and closing out non-conformances

What we are looking for

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5 or more years of experience in electrical contracting, with local project experience strongly preferred
• Practical experience obtaining authority approvals and passing inspections
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; experience with MS Project or Primavera P6 is a plus
• Understanding of IEC/BS standards and local regulations
• Society of Engineers registration and a valid UAE driving licence are advantages
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a bonus

Pay: AED2,300.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
