Electrical Foreman – MEP Construction

About Us

Alyunbou MEP Contracting is a Dubai-based MEP contractor delivering electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire fighting, low current and LPG works for residential, commercial and industrial projects. We are growing our site team and are looking for a hands-on Electrical Foreman who takes ownership of quality, safety and progress.

About the Role

As Electrical Foreman, you will lead our electricians on site and make sure every installation is built to the approved drawings, inspected on time and fully compliant with DEWA regulations. You will report to the Site/MEP Engineer and work closely with the consultant and other trades.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, supervise and assign daily tasks to electricians, technicians and helpers.

· Execute electrical works according to approved shop drawings, method statements and project specifications.

· Ensure all works comply with DEWA regulations and project quality requirements.

· Supervise installation of conduits, cable trays and trunking, wiring, cable pulling and terminations, DBs/SMDBs/MDBs, lighting, power outlets, earthing and lightning protection.

· Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), DB schedules and load schedules.

· Plan daily and weekly work, manpower and tools in line with the project program.

· Raise material requests, receive and check materials against approved submittals, and control site wastage.

· Prepare areas for consultant and DEWA inspections, and close out snags and NCRs promptly.

· Carry out and witness testing (insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance, RCD) and support testing and commissioning.

· Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults on site.

· Coordinate with the project team, consultant, client and other trades to resolve clashes and keep work moving.

· Maintain daily reports for manpower, progress and materials, and mark up as-built changes.

· Enforce HSE rules on site: toolbox talks, PPE, permit-to-work, lock-out/tag-out and safe working at height.

· Train and mentor electricians to raise workmanship standards.

Requirements

· Diploma or technical certificate in Electrical (ITI or equivalent).

· 5+ years of experience as an electrician in building construction, including at least 2 years as an Electrical Foreman or Supervisor.

· UAE/GCC MEP site experience, with practical knowledge of DEWA regulations and inspection procedures.

· Strong understanding of electrical systems: installation, testing and maintenance.

· Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications accurately.

· Familiar with electrical testing instruments (insulation tester, multimeter, earth tester).

· Strong leadership, communication and team management skills.

· Good spoken and written English.

· Able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail.

Preferred

· Experience on villas, residential towers, commercial or industrial projects in Dubai.

· Basic knowledge of low current (ELV) and fire alarm interfaces.

· Safety training certificate (e.g., IOSH or OSHA).

· Valid UAE driving license.

· Currently in the UAE and available to join immediately.
