Working in close, strategic partnership with the Facility Manager, this role oversees the operational integrity of all electrical systems, spearheads mandatory Facility Electrical Inspections, secures core engineering clearances required for Business Permits, and guarantees full infrastructure readiness for rigorous Food Safety Audits across all ambient and cold storage operations. Key Responsibilities & Leadership Duties 1. Direct Collaboration with the Facility Manager Strategic Alignment: Partner closely with the Facility Manager to develop, budget, and execute the annual Facilities Preventive Maintenance Program and infrastructure capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects. Unified Compliance Task Force: Work hand-in-hand with the Facility Manager to prepare all logistics sites for incoming external inspections, aligning electrical safety workflows with structural, civil, and plumbing readiness. Incident Management: Serve as the secondary point of escalation under the Facility Manager for critical power outages, equipment failures, or utility disruptions, ensuring fast recovery protocols to protect supply chain continuity. 2. Facility Electrical Inspections & Supervisory Oversight Team Supervision: Lead, train, and manage a team of facility electricians and technicians. Assign daily workloads, monitor performance, and enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety rules. Supervisory Inspections: Lead comprehensive Facility Electrical Inspections across all warehouses. Audit distribution panels, circuit breakers, and sub-stations for phase imbalances, thermal abnormalities, or load over-capacities. Data-Driven Maintenance: Supervise advanced predictive maintenance routines, including routine Infrared Thermographic Scanning and power quality assessments, presenting analytical data and remediation plans to the Facility Manager. 3. Business Permitting Support & Regulatory Compliance Permit Clearance Drive: Collaboratively drive the engineering prerequisites needed for the annual renewal of local Business Permits (Mayor's Permit). The supervisor acts as the technical lead to secure the Annual Electrical Inspection Certificate from the Marikina Office of the Building Official (OBO) and neighboring site LGUs. Fire Safety Leadership: Manage and verify all electrical rectification works necessary to pass the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) inspections, ensuring every facility secures its annual Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (FSIC). National Regulatory Standards: Supervise the operation and emission logging of standby generator sets to maintain active Permits to Operate (PTO) from the DENR-EMB, and strictly enforce DOLE Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Rule 1210 electrical standards. 4. Food Safety Audit Readiness (Must-Follow Infrastructure Enforcements) In tandem with the Facility Manager and the Quality Assurance (QA) team, the supervisor strictly enforces structural and electrical parameters to pass FDA, GMP, and HACCP Food Safety Audits: Shatterproof Lighting Control: Enforce 100% compliance with non-contamination lighting mandates. Supervise the installation and verification of shatterproof diffusers, protective sleeves, or explosion-proof enclosures across all food handling, staging, and storage bays. Sanitary Wire Layouts: Eliminate dust-traps and pest-harboring opportunities by designing and maintaining sealed, sloped, or vertical IP-rated moisture-resistant conduits capable of withstanding industrial washdowns. Cold Chain Power Redundancy: Guarantee unwavering power continuity for cold storage zones (chillers and freezers). Supervise the testing and readiness of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) and standby generators to ensure emergency power kicks in instantly during utility blackouts, preventing product spoilage. Ingress Barriers: Maintain steady power allocation to air curtains and high-speed PVC doors to support the Facility Manager's efforts in pest and temperature containment. Job Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. License: Must be a Licensed Registered Electrical Engineer (REE). Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical facilities engineering, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity within logistics, warehousing, cold storage, or an FMCG manufacturing plant. Collaborative & Regulatory Skills: Proven history of partnering with a Facility Manager or Plant Manager to successfully navigate LGU Facility Electrical Inspections for Business Permits and executing physical site preparations for international Food Safety Audits (GMP, HACCP, or ISO 22000). Technical Mastery: Highly proficient in load calculations, and energy management analytics. Excellent communication skills for reporting directly to management and negotiating with utility companies like Meralco.
