You will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing that electrical infrastructure is fully compliant, reliable, and high-performing prior to final project handover. Key Responsibilities Lead application and verification activities for core electrical infrastructure, including switchgear, transformers, generators, protection systems, and control panels. Examine electrical drawings, method statements, and design specifications prior to site testing. Develop and execute commissioning plans, testing protocols, and systematic checklists. Perform pre-commissioning inspections and functional testing routines across all equipment. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex electrical faults identified during testing phases. Collaborate directly with project engineers, site contractors, and clients throughout T&C operations. Ensure full compliance with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), project standards, and client guidelines. Compile detailed test reports, commissioning documentation, and accurate as-built records. Facilitate smooth system energization and handover procedures. Promote site safety protocols and enforce strict safety compliance across all testing environments. Preferred Technical Expertise Engineering Analysis & Design: Power system analysis, load/cable sizing, equipment datasheets, FEED studies, design basis, and cost estimation. Software Proficiency: Power analysis software (e.g., SKM) and drafting/modeling tools (AutoCAD, MicroStation, E3D). Codes & Standards: Comprehensive understanding of international and local codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, PEC). Deliverables & Diagrams: Ability to evaluate single-line diagrams, load lists, cable/panel schedules, hazardous area layouts, substation/lighting/grounding plans, motor schematics, riser diagrams, and conduit routing layouts. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Project Delivery: Complete 95–100% of T&C milestones on schedule with zero unapproved delay milestones. Quality & Compliance: Achieve a 90%+ first-time pass rate on test executions with minimal rework from missed defects. Full adherence to PEC and project specs. Technical Effectiveness: Maintain swift fault resolution times during commissioning and identify critical vulnerabilities well before energization. Documentation: Achieve 100% on-time submission of accurate testing/commissioning documentation requiring minimal revisions. Safety: Maintain zero major safety incidents and ensure 100% compliance during safety audits. Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain high client and PM satisfaction ratings through prompt site communication and proactive issue resolution. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Registered Electrical Engineer (REE required; Registered Master Electrician license is an advantage). 3–7 years of direct experience in power generation projects. Practical background in power plant generation systems; medium- to high-voltage system exposure preferred. Practical knowledge of test equipment (insulation testers, relay test kits, multimeters, power analyzers). Strong grasp of protection systems, relay testing, and general power systems. Proven ability to interpret complex schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation. Solid understanding of QA/QC processes and standard commissioning workflows. Demonstrated resilience under tight deadlines, paired with strong cross-functional communication skills and high accountability.
