Position: Electrical Design Specialist Type: Contract Compensation: $70–$85/hour Location: Remote Duration: Short-term project Role Responsibilities Develop, analyze, and evaluate electrical designs based on technical requirements and system performance. Design and review electrical systems , circuits, and components, including distribution systems and control panels . Interpret and analyze electrical schematics , diagrams, and technical documentation. Perform electrical calculations such as load flow , voltage drop , and short-circuit analysis . Evaluate design alternatives and identify potential design issues or improvements. Review and validate designs against project requirements and engineering standards. Qualifications Must-Have Experienced Electrical Design Engineers or Electrical Engineers with hands-on industry experience . Bachelor's , Master's , or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Strong understanding of electrical system design and engineering principles . Practical experience in designing or evaluating electrical systems . Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems and power distribution . Experience with tools such as AutoCAD Electrical , ETAP , or Revit . Preferred Advanced degree or professional engineering certification . Experience with power system studies and specifying and sizing transformers and switchgear . Experience with industrial automation and control systems . Familiarity with electrical codes and standards like IEC , IEEE , or NEC .
