Electrical Engineer

ALMOTHABEROON BUILDING CONTRACTING in Dubai is looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer to join its team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in electrical and low current systems and proven experience in construction and fit-out projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

• Experience in Power Distribution, Lighting, Earthing and Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, and Low Current Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Data, PA).
• 3 to 5 years of mandatory UAE experience in construction or contracting companies.
• Valid Dubai Municipality approval/accreditation certificate is an advantage.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead site teams.
• Must be currently residing in Dubai or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities:

• Review and coordinate all electrical and low current drawings related to construction and fit-out works.
• Supervise and monitor site installations to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and DEWA regulations.
• Prepare and review load schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations.
• Review and prepare shop drawings, material submittals, and test and inspection documents.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other MEP teams to resolve technical and site issues.
• Liaise with local authorities such as DEWA, Civil Defense, and Dubai Municipality for approvals and inspections.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure quality, progress, and adherence to project timelines.
• Conduct site inspections, testing and commissioning, prepare reports, and assist in documentation and handover.
• Support the Project Manager in cost control, scheduling, and progress tracking.
