JOB DESCRIPTION – ELECTRICAL DRAFTSMAN

Position: Electrical Draftsman Experience: Minimum 3–4 Years of UAE Experience Joining: Immediate Joining Required Location: UAE Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Draftsman with a minimum of 3–4 years of UAE experience in electrical drafting and design, preferably in the MEP or construction industry. The candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and capable of preparing accurate electrical drawings in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical shop drawings, layout drawings, and detailed working drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare lighting, power, cable tray, cable routing, containment, and other electrical system drawings.
• Develop and revise electrical drawings based on engineer instructions, site conditions, and client comments.
• Coordinate electrical drawings with mechanical, plumbing, civil, and other MEP disciplines.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site installation and approved modifications.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, approved designs, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with site engineers, design engineers, and project teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely submission of drawings for review and approval.
• Incorporate consultant and client comments and issue revised drawings as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 3–4 years of electrical drafting experience in the UAE .
• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering/Drafting, or an equivalent qualification, preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD .
• Good knowledge of electrical MEP systems, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Familiarity with UAE construction practices, project specifications, and consultant requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical design drawings and technical specifications.
• Good coordination, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in MEP contracting and construction projects.
• Knowledge of cable tray layouts, lighting layouts, power layouts, and electrical containment systems.
• Familiarity with Revit MEP or other electrical design software is an added advantage.
