Electric Vehicle (EV) Team Leader

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Electric Vehicle (EV) Team Leader to lead and supervise our EV service and technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing EV diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, technical troubleshooting, team performance, workshop productivity, and compliance with EV safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in electric vehicle systems, proven team leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service, quality workmanship, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support EV technicians and team members in daily workshop operations.
• Allocate jobs, monitor workflow, and ensure timely completion of repair and maintenance activities.
• Oversee EV diagnostics, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair activities.
• Support diagnosis of high-voltage battery systems, electric motors, inverters, charging systems, DC-DC converters, and vehicle control systems, within authorized qualifications and procedures.
• Ensure high-voltage safety procedures, isolation, lockout/tagout, and safe working practices are followed.
• Conduct technical inspections and ensure repair quality meets manufacturer standards.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to technicians.
• Coordinate with the Service Advisor, Parts Department, Warranty Team, and Workshop Manager.
• Monitor team productivity, efficiency, repair quality, turnaround time, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure proper use of diagnostic tools, workshop equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Maintain accurate job cards, diagnostic reports, repair records, and technical documentation.
• Escalate complex technical issues, warranty concerns, and repeat repairs when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE requirements, and applicable local regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3–5 years of automotive technical experience, preferably in EV servicing and repair.
• Previous experience leading or supervising a technical team is preferred.
• Strong understanding of EV powertrain, high-voltage systems, battery management systems, charging systems, and vehicle diagnostics.
• Experience using OEM diagnostic software and automotive diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of high-voltage safety procedures and relevant EV safety training or certification.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Skills

• EV manufacturer or OEM technical training.
• Experience with EV warranty procedures and technical campaigns.
• Knowledge of workshop KPIs, productivity, and quality control.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills.

Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month
