Ecommerce Operations Manager
Next Play is seeking an experienced, hands-on E-Commerce Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and continued growth of our B2C e-commerce business. This role will oversee multiple online storefronts and manage the operational processes that keep our e-commerce programs running efficiently, from website performance and order management to inventory control and fulfillment.
Working closely with our Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Fulfillment teams, the E-Commerce Operations Manager will ensure each storefront is operating smoothly, orders are processed accurately, and customers receive a consistent, high-quality shopping experience.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader who can manage multiple e-commerce platforms simultaneously, balance competing priorities, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and the overall customer experience. In addition to overseeing online storefront operations, this individual will lead day-to-day pick, pack, and fulfillment activities, ensuring accurate order processing, effective inventory management, timely shipments, and organized warehouse operations.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong e-commerce expertise with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to keep operations moving while helping scale the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- E-Commerce Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple e-commerce websites, ensuring all storefronts are running efficiently and providing a seamless customer experience.
- Website Maintenance & Merchandising: Manage product listings, pricing updates, promotions, inventory availability, and overall website content to ensure accuracy and consistency across all storefronts.
- Fulfillment & Operations: Handle daily pick, pack, and shipping activities, ensuring orders are picked accurately, packed securely, and shipped on time. Maintain organized inventory, manage incoming and outgoing product, and keep fulfillment workflows efficient and organized. This is a hands-on role that requires actively performing fulfillment duties, not just overseeing the process.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate inventory levels across multiple websites and fulfillment operations, ensuring accurate stock counts, product availability, and timely replenishment.
- Team Leadership: Manage and support e-commerce and fulfillment teams, establish clear processes and expectations, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Website Performance & Optimization: Monitor website performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, average order value, customer engagement, and overall sales.
- Reporting & Analytics: Analyze e-commerce performance and maintain regular reporting on key KPIs, including sales, website traffic, conversion rates, product performance, inventory, and fulfillment efficiency.
- Website Development & Launches: Assist with the planning, development, setup, and launch of new Shopify websites, working with internal teams and external developers as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Production teams to coordinate product launches, promotional campaigns, inventory needs, and overall e-commerce initiatives.
- Customer Experience & Order Management: Oversee order-related issues, returns, exchanges, and customer service escalations to ensure timely resolutions and a positive customer experience.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient workflows, operational procedures, and best practices to support continued growth across multiple e-commerce programs.
Experience:
- 3+ years of e-commerce management experience, extensive knowledge of Shopify and online store operations is a plus.
- Proven experience managing multiple e-commerce websites, brands, or client storefronts simultaneously.
- Experience overseeing day-to-day e-commerce operations, including product management, merchandising, inventory, order processing, and fulfillment.
- Previous team leadership experience, preferably in e-commerce, warehouse operations, or fulfillment environments.
- Experience supporting the development, setup, and launch of new Shopify websites, as well as managing existing storefronts through growth and scale.
- Experience managing e-commerce operations, with an understanding of order fulfillment workflows, shipping processes, and inventory accuracy.
- Understanding of e-commerce best practices, website functionality, and user experience (UX) to support site performance and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to analyze sales data, operational performance, and key e-commerce metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent leadership, project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines
Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Fulfillment teams
