Founded by Emmy-nominated executive producer Bud Brutsman, BCII has produced more than 1,000 hours of unscripted television for Netflix, Discovery, History, MotorTrend, National Geographic, Peacock, and more, including SEMA Battle of the Builders and Nick Cannon's Big Drive . We have spent more than two decades filming car culture.
About the Chip Foose Premium Detail Line
We are launching a custom high-end line of automotive detail products built around Chip Foose, one of the most respected designers and builders in the history of hot rodding. These products are made to the standard of a Foose build: no shortcuts, no filler, and a finish that holds up under show lights. The line launches this fall, and it will sell first and foremost through its own online store. We need someone who can turn a legend's name into a store that performs.
The Opportunity
This role owns the store. You will run the ecommerce business for the detail line day to day: the site, the product pages, the orders, the customers, and the marketing that drives traffic to the cart and brings buyers back. BCII produces all video in-house, so you will never be short on content. You will have a full production team shooting demos, how-tos, and reveals with talent car people already know and trust. Your job is to tell that team what the store needs, put the content to work, and turn fans into customers and customers into regulars.
This is not a job managing one slice of a funnel. The store is yours: every page, every order, every customer. You’ll be backed with the name of a legend.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day operation of the direct-to-consumer store (Shopify or similar), including site build-out, navigation, product pages, promotions, and launch readiness.
- Own the numbers: revenue, traffic, conversion rate, average order value, repeat purchase rate, and customer acquisition cost, with a weekly performance report to leadership.
- Merchandise the line with sharp product copy, specs, usage instructions, bundles and kits, cross-sells, and seasonal promotions that make it easy to build the perfect detail setup.
- Run order-to-doorstep operations with our fulfillment partner, including inventory planning, order flow, shipping rules, returns, and the shipping requirements that come with liquids and aerosols.
- Own the customer experience: the support inbox, reviews, FAQs, and post-purchase follow-up. Turn every complaint into a fix.
- Build and run the retention engine through email and SMS flows, replenishment and subscription offers for consumables, and loyalty programs that keep customers coming back.
- Drive qualified traffic through paid social, Google Shopping and search, and affiliate partnerships with detailers, shops, and automotive creators, and manage the budget behind it.
- Partner with BCII's in-house video team: brief them on what the store, ads, and emails need, then deploy that content across product pages, ads, email, and social.
- Launch and manage Amazon and other marketplace channels as the business expands, protecting pricing, listings, and brand integrity.
- Manage the ecommerce tech stack, including payments, sales tax, analytics, reviews, and app integrations, and keep the site fast, secure, and reliable.
- Test relentlessly on product pages, offers, and checkout, and scale what wins.
- Coordinate with legal on product claims, Foose name and likeness approvals, trademark use, FTC endorsement disclosures, California Prop 65 and labeling requirements, and consumer privacy compliance.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of ecommerce or digital marketing experience, including at least 3 years running a direct-to-consumer store with revenue accountability.
- Deep, hands-on Shopify experience (Shopify Plus a plus), including apps, theme settings, and enough HTML or Liquid to fix things without waiting on a developer.
- Proven performance marketing results across Meta, Google Shopping and search, and GA4, with a practical understanding of attribution.
- Email and SMS lifecycle experience using Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar platforms.
- Operations know-how in inventory, 3PL management, shipping, and returns. Experience shipping liquid or aerosol products is a strong plus.
- Amazon Seller Central experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills. You understand unit economics and contribution margin and can build a dashboard that tells the truth.
- Consumer product experience, ideally in car care, automotive aftermarket, powersports, tools, or another enthusiast category.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Real passion for cars. You know the difference between a paint correction and a wax job, and you can write a product page a builder would respect.
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
- You check the conversion rate before you check your email.
- You’ve spent a Saturday morning detailing your own car and pay attention to which products actually earned their spot on the shelf.
- You would rather own the whole store than one piece of it, and you thrive when the results have your name on them.
- You want to be the person who knows exactly why orders dipped on Tuesday and what you are doing about it by Wednesday.
Pay: $58,300.00 - $70,300.00 per year
